Does anyone have any advice on how to save energy going round a cb? I'm probably going to one tomorrow afternoon, I've got chronic fatigue and last time I did it I was out of it for four days. I was thinking about taking my little wheely suitcase instead of bags, not sure if I'll look silly but I don't really care. Any other tips?
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I can't really think of anything to help you but I see loads of people with those trolley bags at the car boots I visit, and they're not all elderly!

Or take a bloke with you, you make him carry stuff and hold stuff, while he trudges along behind you. Whenever I go to the car boot with my other half, I feel less knackered afterwards because he's carrying everything but on the other hand I don't feel I can go around at my own leisurely pace as he looks bored out of his mind!

    2010 Wins = £6,597
    2011 Wins = £7,083

    £2,012 in 2012 = £450/£2,012
    20 in 2012 = 4/20

Yeah, did ask a male friend if he'd go, he told me to f off. He'd want paying anyway, which defeats the object!

I think I'll take my wheely suitcase and just go slowly, maybe take a bin liner or something and sit on the floor to rake through boxes, an excuse for a rest!

Of course, I could just not buy heavy things like books, but where's the fun in that!

What about one of these shooting sticks?

They don't take up much room and you could put in your wheelie bag and take it out when you need it.

I'm sorry to hear of your fatigue problems, Ames. I've seen lots of people using those resting sticks (as Penny suggested) and also those wheely trollies.

I save time by only looking at stalls run by people who look interesting -well dressed elderly people or alternative types are more likely to have either vintage-y stuff or similiar tastes in books and music. I tend to avoid young families as I'm not a parent or "chavvy" types (which sounds really horrible but it's just not worth my while as we're going have opposing tastes).

It's always worth asking if the stallholder will hold on to your purchases once you've paid so you can collect on the way back or even sweet talk somebody into carrying your bags back to the car for you.
