  • Well today as i was in town i decided to have a look in a couple of charity shops before heading home. Seen a few bargains, but only picked up one as i had youngest son with me (Kaiden, not well bless him). It was a pair of mens jeans by gap for £3.50, well chuffed about it. :D Keeps the other half happy for a few hours :p. Plan doing it when kids aren't with me next time, murder trying to do it with any of them there, as they pick up toys saying i want this, this, and this....
  • I`m trying to give the carboots and charity shops up but have had some fantastic buys. The best were 20 magazines bought for a £1 and sold for £800 and they weren`t rude (before you ask!) They were about Moorcroft pottery.
My rule re buying has been if you are dithering and it costs less than a cup of coffee buy it - you just never know.

If you are buying at car boots or charity shops to sell in ebay for a profit you'll need to register on ebay as a business and register with HMRC and pay tax on your profits!

its from new shop around my area selling everyday clothes and also some VERY expensive ethnic asian/middle eastern clothing. Tried it on today and seems a bit big so I'm gonna have to take it in a bit from the side or put darts at the back

Talking of learning about selling on eBay, I've been persuaded to do a talk about my eBay business to a women's group next year - I'm scared already.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for dry weather tomorrow for the Thursday boot sale.

My latest eBay bargain turned up this morning, a vintage 80's polka dot jumpsuit for the princely sum of just over £2 - photographs on blog!

I love jumpsuits! I got one in the summer from a bootsale for just £2, it was from Topshop and current season at the time - it looks fab on. When OH saw me in it for the first time he thought I had lost weight. Double bonus!

Am loving your blog goanmad ..... you've got such a good eye ! I'm still in training  :D.

Off to the charity shops tomorrow for a nosey (hopefully they'll have put some new things out - anyone know how often they change their 'stock'?)

Might get to the car boot this weekend too if I'm up early enough ... DH has to take DS to football between 9 and 10.30 so I need to be back before then .

Off to finish reading goan's blog :D ..... see if I can learn something ;).

Most charity shops would put stuff out every day throughout the day as they sort, steam and price things so you just have to be there at the right time they put out that mega bargain

That may differ for some charity shops though
