Best Car Boot, Charity Shop and Jumble Sale Bargains - New Thread 4/10/09

  • I got a great bargain at the charity shop a couple of days ago...a fake fur leopard print coat for £9.99 :) I'm so happy as I've been looking for one of these for ages!! :)

  • Got a retro Dualit three slot toaster for £6, it's owners were selling their house contents prior to emigrating to Australia. Toaster also came with two toastie cages. :)

    I've not had chance to post on here for ages!! I went to a boot sale on Saturday and bought the following;
    6 teapots-seperately but came to £10-I run a vintage tea room set up so these are perfect!
    vintage cake forks and kinves-about 3 sets £5
    Jamie Oliver cook book £1
    vintage suitcase-£4
    my OH has got quite into CBS and he bought a vintage chest for £20
    some heated rollers for £4 after I stupidly got rid of my Carmen rollers some time ago!
    vintage doilies-£1
    various vintage china, all together £7
    some of those freezer blocks to keep food cool on the move £1, I was looking for some too!
    I also bought some lovely plants for our garden for about £12 in total

    very pleased with my haul, I havent been able to get to as many boot sales as I'd have liked but I've got some lovely things at the ones I have been to.

  • Got 4 tins of farrow and ball eggshell paint from a chazza today
    At 75p a tin they where well worth a punt and when I got them home and opened them the paint looked perfect.

    wow! Some fantastic finds!

    Went to my first cbs in ages today - moved to a new area recently. Unfortunately they weren't huge but still managed to pick up a brand new with tags h&m skirt for 50p:T

    Not too far from Bristol here... It seems I may need to wander over at some point, based on the bargains to be had!!
