Best Car Boot, Charity Shop and Jumble Sale Bargains - New Thread 4/10/09

I'm just getting back into charity shop shopping after seeing the bargains people on here get!

The other day I got a Per Una houndstooth skirt for £2 and a 1970s style psychedelic print skirt for £3, both from a pet rescue charity shops. Not bad for a first try!

I did a car boot sale with a friend yesterday and whilst we were setting up spotted some wooden boxes on the stall opposite - three small drawers at the top, and two larger one across the middle and bottom. I asked how much and was surprised to be told £1.00 each so two sets came back with me to my car. I have since discovered they are Ikea mammut at rrp £17 each.

Yesterday I found a lovely M & S trench-style raincoat in our local hospice shop for £3. Didn't bother to try it on as was pretty sure it would fit OK. Got home and found all the tags still attached inside so it was brand new. I am beyond thrilled!!

I went into my local charity shop yesterday and got the collectors edition of chitty chitty bang bang boxed and immaculate, containing 2 disc dvd, cd of the music from the film, booklet and corgi car of chitty. It was mixed in with the kids games on the floor and when I asked how much.............50p!!!!!!!!

My 4 year old son hasnt put the car down since he saw it and ive promised my daughter we'll watch the dvd next week when we have friday film night! I cant wait

These are my latest carboot bargains

Peachy drape dress by Love at Topshop, bought for 25p. This was originally sold for £32 on the Topshop website.




From the same seller, this Topshop nautical striped knitted jumper was also 25p. This was sold at the beginning of this year for £36!



This Hollister white vest top was also 25p

Lastly, this lovely cream chunky knitted jumper was 25p from the same lady, and I have given this to my Mum.

This set of pink polka dot tin canisters. It originally had a big bread bin too, but someone bought that seperatly before I got there! But I got this set of 4 for £3 cute!

My best buy of the day has to be this perfume. It's Versace Woman eau de parfum 100ml, new, and it retails for £50 online. I bought it for... 25p! From the same lady selling the 25p clothes, this was included too! It actually smells really nice too! What a bloody bargain!

Not been to a carboot sale for ages but given the lovely weather i dragged myself out of bed for a wander.

It was really busy but alot of stalls selling baby items, i did come across a stall with two girls my sort of age and bought 6 tops from them for £1 each. All modern and from GAP, french connection and next they were really grateful for the purchase as they reported people were grumbling at paying £1 an item for clothes!
