found a kipling trolley suitcase in a charity shop today. it was filthy, but after a soak in the bath and a good scrub down it now looks like new. have been wanting one of these for ages as a close friend swears by them, but i could never have afforded to buy and don't travel enough to justify the investment. now all i need is to save up for a holiday!
best of luck all0 -

My brother just got a new flat with big long windows and he didn't have curtains long enough, so I was pleased to find a huge 90 x 100" pair of lined curtains in my local Salvation Army shop for £8.49. I wouldn't like to think how much they'd cost new! I also got a nice pair of leather boots for £3.50 for my son - size 12 so not the easiest to find. Was hoping to go to car boot sale today but I think it will have been cancelled due to the very wet and windy weather here.0

Not so much a booty but went round someone's house who said they were moving house and had a load of stuff to shift. Got myself a working Flymo mower & Bosch Hedge Trimmers for £4 and a few other bits all at £2 an item. Was chuffed.0

At a very small local car boot a couple of weeks ago I bought a box of Playmobil for £5.00. It was quite late and I didnt really know if all the pieces would be there but thought my boys could at least add the figures to their own collection. We assembled it this weekend and they are now the proud owners of a complete farmhouse and some animals, a complete police station and a couple of the small accessory sets.
I reckon this would have cost over £100 when bought.0 -

Murano gold/black Venetian glass hand-made bowl reduced from 99.99 to 49.99 to 29.99
In my area (Greater London) those are pretty much top prices. Wedgwood is virtually valueless for instance and the good ordinary porcelain table wear a couple of pounds a piece at most. I would probably shift mine at a car boot for a £1 at most.
Murano, whilst pretty and still popular goes for around the £25- £30 mark, still labelled at a bricks and mortar auction, much less second hand and I have sold a folded end long Murano glass bowl for less than £10 at a car boot befor enow as i couldn't get rid of it. There's loads of Murano ( although never take a sellers word for it, check the pattern) unsold on ebay for less than £10 a go plus postage of near £10.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
