Things I learnt from going to many carboots over the years -
1. Wear an across the body bag for your phone wallet etc
I used to take a normal over shoulder handbag then I found everytime I leant over or go down to the floor to look at stuff it would fall off and when your there with a lot of stuff or around a lot of people not ideal. Also it means both of your hands are free to look and pick things up.
2. Have a big purse with large change section
Trying to mess around with a small purse to get change when your hands are full is no fun!
3. Take lots of change rather than notes
Sellers don't tend to have a lot of change or run out.
4. Take your own carrier bags
Some sellers don't have any or have run out. I take quite a lot of various sizes and have ones I will only put shoes/boots in if I buy any as they can be dirty so don't want them against clothes etc I may buy so keep the same bags for those.
5. Don't wear loose fitting trousers (round waist) or low cut tops
Trust me I'm sure I've given many a seller in the past quite a view from the front and behind leaning over or down to look at stuff!!!!!!:eek:0 -

I am having a joyous time post baby no 3 getting all his toys and clothes for pennies, can then pass on happily to others or charity shops.
Am also getting back into the swing of fashion and a few weeks ago came across a stall where the lady was selling Karen Millen stuff, all my size, she had 2 racks of it a lot still with tags on. I bought an armful, about 25 items in total for eighty pounds. I put 2 of the dresses on ebay after as they didn't look right on and got 125 pounds for them! I also picked up a silver links bracelet for a pound from the same lady, thought it was a fake at that price but asked at the Links shop and they said it was genuine :beer:0 -
