Roll on the rest of the year. I hope New York has some good Vintage shops. It's going to be interesting going there and not shopping.

It's always exciting searching out the vintage /charity/ fleamarkets /2nd hand shops abroad. I'm going to Belgium this weekend and have searched for all these however don't seem to be too many :(. Ghent seems to be the best bet - made me laugh as in Flemish they call second hand shops 'Kringwinkels' :).

I'm off out for a little bit of charity shopping in a minute - before I go here are a few of my recent charity shop purchases:

    My new favourite jumper - £4 (H&M)
Wearing this with black leggings, tan leather boots and my woolly hat I feel very 80s but in a good way

My £3.50 Topshop dress for summer beachwear or thick cream tights and long sleeve top underneath

And this patent 1960s bag for £4.50

Have a great day everyone x

Got a old Monopoloy game for £1.50, had fun finding out when it was published by doing some investigation on the net. Works out it was pubished between 1961 and 1966. The box has some slight marks but it has all the contents, love the little racing car and the battle ship. Was going to put a pic but cant work out how to :(
Best wins: Brit Awards & After Show Party Tickets 2012; Samsung Galaxy Note; 32" widescreen TV; £500 National Garden Vouchers; Kindle Fire HD; £100 high-street gift card; Kindle; Diamond Necklace; BAFTA TV Awards Tickets 2015;

Nice find! I remember getting Monopoly for Christmas around 1971 and my brother ruined the board by using the pointed bit of the battle ship. Everytime he moved along the board, he pierced it with the ship. It's probably still in my Mum's house somewhere, but worth precisely nada. Sorry for going OT but you brought back a memory.:rotfl:

My charity shop visits were disappointing - all I got was a cookbook for 50p but hubby is pleased because I came home and made cookies from one of the recipies :)

I sold an old 60s Monopoly on work eBay for £40 something last year, they can do well in good condition

I got a lovely new Pineapple messenger type bag this week along with a small sample of Clarins serum and Anna Sui fragrance. My daughter is giving the bag to her friend for a birthday gift filled with books and stationary.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
