  • I bought a wonderfully tacky jumper from a CS yesterday for £1. And I cannot make up my mind what to do with it! I don't know whether to turn it into a cushion, or have a mess with it and turn it into a jumper dress..

I also got an a silky jumpsuit for £1.99 which I'd never consider wearing until now.

Jumper dress definately! Its actually very fashionable right now. Add thick opaque tights and a skinny belt and you have yourself a very cool outfit indeed for such a low price.

Ooh please post a pic of the jumpsuit - I love jumpsuits!

Sorry for the awful picture, I've had to lie it on the floor and use the inbuilt camera on my mac :rotfl:

I don't think it had ever been worn as it had the original tags on it from whatever country the first owner had bought it from.

    Love it!
My charity shopping for me today - too busy trawling for christmas presents. Ended up buying myself two dresses instead ;) and lots of thick opaque tights from Primark to keep me warm
A couple of weeks ago I found a nice woolly hat on the way home from the pub - hubby made me pick it up and take it home. I washed it and wore it today and got lots of admiring glances. Very chuffed

  • I bought a lovely blue checked shirt for £1 that's on my homepage. Its lovely and warm and it really suits me. I also got some vinyl's too, Madonna-Like a virgin, Bon Jovi-Slippery When Wet and Alice Cooper- Trash. Each for £1.50. I'm pretty happy after today's shop :D
  • I did a trawl of the local charity shops on Saturday - the weather was too bad for anything else! Keeping warm being a priority, I'm pleased with a thick cashmere jumper (£2) plus a couple of DVDs and books - I'll be sitting in front of the fire!

Then went into one that had a ½ price sale on all clothes - and got a 1930s musquash jacket in nearly original condition (just needs a few stitches in the lining, no musty smells etc) - the ticket said "sale £5" but they gave it to me for £2.50!

Musquash jacket for £2.50! Well done.

My local charity shop had a long musquash coat for £20 which was a bargain, as a similar one sold on ebay for £60. It went in minutes of putting out on display.

Did the shop know one similar had sold on eBay for £60 lulu? If so why didn't they put more on it than £20?

From the charity shop today I got a base for my real christmas tree for £5. They were £10 where we bought our tree so I am chuffed with my little saving

It's a small independent charity shop Jesa. I did say they could have got more money, but they replied they need to keep stock moving on as quickly as possible. They are right next to a free large carpark in a fairly middle class area and next to Sainsburys, so always hugely busy.

They do have some brilliant stuff coming in and they have increased their prices by a huge amount compared to previous prices. Stuff they think could be valuable is often taken to the local auction house. Also they recently had several genuine designer handbags in and were selling them for £100 each!! They all sold within a week though.

Yesterday picked up a Supa Fit Dressmakers dummy. Only the torso (immac. condition) but the manufacturers can send me the stand and fittings for around £20. Brand new it's £120 and I got it for a £1 :)
