 Just seen that I missed a local jumble sale today in the local paper! They are far and few between around here and have never been to one! Kicking myself!:(0

First jumble sale I got
Blue and white meat platter and matching serving bowl
New and tagged, M&S Trousers, Papaya blouse, Swimsuit, Florence & Fred dress,
4 t-shirts 2 jumpers 2 coats
Readers Digest Gardening by season, 3 hardback novels
Spent the grand sum of £3.20 including 30p entrance fee0 -
I must get to a jumble sale soon, although the last one was more expensive than a boot sale.
Amongst my bargain buys at the carboot;
Two pure wool scarves, one's a gents = 20p
Pure wool dark grey overcoat for Mr. Lulu = £1
Per Una cream jacket with blue piping = £2
Lambswool jumper = 50p
Cashmere jumper = 50p
Timberland leather loafers = £1
all of the above in unworn condition and all fit perfectly.
And the best news is that instead of closing next week, which it usually does, it's open until mid December!!:jSaving money right, left and centre0 -

Items that caught my eye (but were too expensive in my opininon) were: Green Converse trainers £9.99; Medium sized Brass plant pot £12.99; Macys small shopper with pic of a dog £12.99; Fake fur coat £25 and a gents sheepskin jacket £60. All the primark 'atmosphere' stuff tends to be £3.99!! (Dearer than new.) Or maybe i'm just used to jumble sale prices.
I notice you are in Cheshire.. I went to Macclesfield on Saturday and a couple of the CS's there are very high priced!!0 -
I went to watch my sister run the Great South Run in Portsmouth on Sat & we parked in a car park where a car boot sale was being held, woop! I only got a chance to have a brief look, but I managed to find cream metal tea, coffee & sugar holders, £1.50 for all 3. I have wanted some like this for ages so was really pleased.
I went to a couple of charity shops today & managed to get a smily face mug for 59p, a black shift dress for £3.99 & a New Look black stripey summer dress for £4.95. It's a bit too small unfortunatley but I'm going to try & make it into a skirt instead.0 -
My best buy this weekend were 14 Terry Pratchett hardback books for £20. All as new & original publisher & priced inside at £16.99 each. I am over the moon!:jBest wishes,
Val:hello:0
