  • Been a busy couple of days with so many car boots being held locally :) The best buy of the weekend has to be a Le Creuset casserole dish with lid for the bargain price of £1.00! Hubby has worked hard scrubbing it back to it's former glory :) Very pleased indeed!

Also got tons of toiletries, cosmetics, hair products, perfumes.
Lots of books all in excellent condition for our 2yr old daughter :) All priced between 20-50p
A Pair of Nike Rift trainers £2.00
    Dvd's for DD £1.00 - £2.00

    All good!
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:
  • I was too lazy to get out of bed today, even though I really fancied fitting in 1 last CBS! I found 2 new CBS near me though by accident so hoping the weather is ok next weekend.

We sold at a car boot sale yesterday, glorious day, warm with wall to wall sunshine, Summer again. We did OK too. Sold several large items so now have more room.:T
Daughter on a walk about bought some nice Brambly Hedge figures for £1 each & 4 wooden Russian dolls £2.50. I resisted the temptation to buy.:A:D

  • I have been 'lurking' on this board for a while, but have finally decided to join up & post!

Inspired by all your bargains, I visited my local charity shop this afternoon & purchased:
A cute little cropped 'swing' jacket (originally from Matalan) for £4.95
A body con flower print top, size 14, so I'm planning to wear it as a dress with tights (originally from F&F @ Tesco) for £3.55

My local charity shop is a bit pricey, but getting a new jacket & top/dress for under £10 is still pretty good! Hope everyone else got some bargains today! :)

So glad you could join us MissCecil. Your purchases sound lovely, a fraction of the retail price and helping deserving charities, too.
  • Thanks Goan!

I have been reading your blog & it's awesome! You have amazing style & your 'finds' have inspired me to scour my local charity shops & jumble sales, as you never know what you'll find!
