    Not a bad haul, Monkey!
Bit of a rubbish and wet August meant hardly any boot sales so I'm making up for it now. We're quite lucky 'cos the car boot season round South Staffs often goes on until mid-November. Yipee!
  • yeah,I think people are making the most of the decent weather as the one I went to was busier than usual too.

Went to a bootsale yesterday and only came back with 2 items

I got a BNWT 'Bulaggi' dark grey wool handbag with black leather handles and a removable strap for £3 - sounds kind of horrible but is actually really nice!

Also, a nice lady gave me a BN (from what I can tell) pewter and black sequinned union jack purse (Primark) for free as she was packing up! :D
  • Hi everyone,
I think I have only posted once on this thread before but my "haul" this weekend was

    from CS

pair of converse limited edition (hardly worn) - £1.00
full length wax coat (never worn) - £2.00
    china tea set - £2.00

    from CBS today

    Lloyd loom basket - £3.00
    2 china teacups and saucers - 60p
    yankee candle tart - 10p
wooden jewellry box with mirror - £1.00
next top and gap top for grandaughter £1.00 each
fluffy pig slippers for daughter - 50p
    3 china plates - 50p each

Plus other various bits and bobs

    cant wait for next weekend
  • Heavy rain from Saturday AM onwards, so the bootsales were literally washed out... and that meant a CS morning instead. A good one, though -

2 good watercolours (1930's?) in quality frames - £1 each
    a turned and hand-carved wooden bowl - £2
    a 1950s shell cameo brooch in a gold-plated setting - £2.50
    a dainty 1950s lady's cocktail watch (working) - £5
and the star buy, a bag full of dress patterns from 1950s to 1970s, all in my size - £1. There are about 20, some never opened ... I'd better dig out the Liberty material, or the tweed, I got at CS a while back and try to remember how to sew...!
