Hello folks! I've been a bit absent from this thread in recent weeks - a combination of starting a new job, lots of weddings/festivals/general merriment and lack of funds has stopped me shopping. But I'm back with a bang! Here's what I picked up at my favourite charity shop today:

Banana Republic silk blouse with peter pan collar, £2
Topshop black and cream printed mini dress, £5
M&S Autograph silk floral blouse, £2
Glass stand with domed lid - the kind that holds olives in restaurants, or cotton wool balls in retro bathrooms - £1

I had armfuls of stuff but was very restrained and put most of it back. Saving myself for the car boot tomorrow!

  • I wanted to try and squeeze a few late ones in before it gets too cold!
  • Glad to find this thread.
I have not read the whole thread yet,but has anyone found the best way of searching online in particular counties to find out where the jumble sales are? I seem to remember from my young mother days that school autumn fairs are a great source of bargains.

Local papers are a good way to find school fetes in your area, same with jumble sales.
If you type into Google, JUMBLE SALES/SCHOOL FETES, you get lots of links & can then pick ones in your area too.
    Best wishes,

I got an Olympus MJUII for £5 sold it on for £50
  • Wow that was a result ajuk.

I did a carboot on sunday and made £156 and shifted lots of rubbish at the same time. Great result! There was a really poor turn out of cars, no more then around 25 - 30 and virtually no toys except the ones I was selling, I had a little look around and couldn't find hardly anything of interest I did manage to pick up a boys Ted Baker Hoodie, a boys BN dressing gown and a Spiderman gun for 50p each which was the best of what was available.
Today I stopped in to a local charity shop, and found a boys denim Duffer jacket, a endangered animals kids book, and a ELC monkey game and paid a total of £1.50 which I was really thrilled with and my boys have played with the game and read the book over and over again all afternoon.
