How did it go, Jesa? I did think of you. What a wonderful idea to have a camper as a wedding car, they do funeral ones now, too!

My brother found me a friend of a friend who has a lovely deep red camper - he paid for it as part of our wedding present. The hire ones around here were about £350:eek: I'll send you a piccie when they arrive. I didn't know you could hire them for funerals too - might have to point that out to hubby "just in case"

The whole day was just perfect, obviously the only thing missing was dad, but it was an amazing day. All the guests really enjoyed themselves too as we had lots of fun things going on to keep them entertained

Awww, Jesa, it sounds idylic (especially with the campervan). Can't wait to see photos.
Your Dad would have been smiling down on you, I'm sure.

Hopefully you won't but for future reference:

The bargain of the day has to be 40 x 1950's wood lab stools I spotted dumped next to a school skip on the way home. They were about to be smashed up and the caretaker let us have the lot for a tenner!

they sound fab, what a waste if you hadn't have been passing by though!

Had a good morning charity shopping in a nearby town today - £15 total for:

1960s Italian bright orange beaded handbag
Dotty Ps floral tulip dress 50p as it needs two seems sewing back up
1950s blue & white "Shelana" polka dot cotton tea dress
1950s lemon & navy "Kerena" tea dress

and for my fancy dress box:
    Pirate hat
Halloween alien full cloak and mask
    Plastic sea shell bar top
    Black & green witches gloves
Fantastic four flaming mask and talking flame thrower gloves

Very pleased as I would have paid about £10/12 for the bag alone in a vintage shop

Today I got Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.....Beatles, but a cassette, for 25p.
I also bought a vintage, straw filled Teddy bear for £4, his growl doesn't work, but when you squeeze his tummy his mouth still opens, I think he's a German make.
