Well, I mistakenly took my 5 -yr-old to the bootfair and only got halfway along the first row before she had a strop because she wanted a £10 dolly pushchair. I did manage to get a Mickey Mouse red dog collar and a beany lap tray (£1 each) both as new. Then it was £1.50 on the bouncy castle, then home. I missed about 3/4 of the stalls, lol.

Pester power rules! I wont take either of my 2 along with me now, DS wants all the toys, DD wants all the DVDs - and I dont get a chance to find any of my stuff! :rotfl:

A couple of weeks ago I bought some lovely boxed perfumes from two sellers.

Guy Laroche Fidji Eau de Toilette
    Lagerfeld Chloe EDT
    Dior Pure Poison Body Moisturizer
and unopened, cellophane wrapped, three Carven handbag sized perfumes; Vert et Blanc, Ma Griffe and Robe d'un Soir

    Princely sum of £1.50!!

I'm amazed how much these go for on ebay. But I'm making a quest to find a signature scent which I really love. Everytime I go to perfume counters my mind is completely befuddled after a couple of squirts of the testers.

Husband says all of the above smell gorgeous. Just unsure whether to open up the Carven perfumes. One US seller sold the same pack to an American buyer for $99!! No idea why as they appear to be on sale for £29 from perfume outlets

After reading everyone's great buys, I went to my local town yesterday and hit about 5 CS's.

I think I went expecting too much (wanted to find a maxi dress) and I didn't see any clothes I liked - either too big, too tatty or too expensive! But I did buy 5 yards of blue gingham fabric for £5.

Today I went to a bric a brac sale and did much better:

    A suede Domo BNWT handbag - 50p
    3 x beanie babies with tags - 20p each
    A 1970's mini casserole dish and lid - 10p
A kilner style jar to store my homegrown beetroot - 20p

Plus the 50p entrance fee - all going towards a new village hall fund.

I've persuaded my OH to take me to a CBS in the morning which is usually massive. I haven't been for years and I never thought to look at the clothes before. It may be a complete disaster as we'll be taking our "can't stay still" 2 year old with us!

Here's hoping for that maxi dress....

So glad we've inspired you, Treacle Toes!

Here's hoping for that maxi dress....

I was chatting to a lady in the jumble sale queue yesterday and mentioned that on my wishlist for finds would be a psychedelic maxi dress. Lo and behold whilst rummaging in the bedding section I found one - far too big and in need of tweaking but at 20p I'm not complaining!

Total spend was £15 and our poor little Variant was groaning under the weight!

Well, I didn't find the elusive maxi dress!

However, I did buy a Miss Sixty Denim Jumpsuit for £1 which I was pleased with.

I managed to see 2/3 of the stalls at the CBS which wasn't bad seeing as I was with a "not interested" OH and a two-year-old.

On Tuesday I'm going to a general sale at the local auction house (on my own) which should be fun. The catalogue has listed lots of vintage fabric, which is my latest favourite thing.
