I phoned my local store.....they told me they had none, and there were none anywhere in scotland
  • Thanks to OP - bought a display model today, just setting it up now :) There are, apparantly, 2 in the Richmond store one is probably the display model. Hope this helps anyone still looking.
  • I managed to buy one today at the London Oxford Street branch, display model though but still in great condition. Also got an extra 2 year guarantee for £20 :T

Thanks to the OP for this deal

Ooops I think i got the last one in Scotland  when i rang my local they told me that there was only 1 store in Scotland who had one and it was the display model :o It had a missing shelf support pin and a few scuffs but still snapped it up as it's for the boys's room so will no doubt end up with more scrapes and scuffs and thought i'd beable to get the missing pin no probs but err they want £20 for a pack of 4 lol so i'll just have to make one from something :money:

Booo Hooo i really wanted one as well....typical!
  • Managed to pick the display model up from the Swindon shop. Cheltenham and Gloucester stores also had display models but had lost the remote control! If you really want one you could pick up a remote from the Sony Store for about £ 30. Maybe you could knock Curry's down on price because of the lack of remote!

Fantastic price for a great sound and piece of furniture.

these sorts of systems are well worth it for beefing up your TV experience
i used to have a 7.1 system but sadly it had to go for practicality
these systems are a big step up from standard speakers

I'm hoping one of the few who got this can help.
I bought one for my husband and it is was the display model.
We have just unwrapped it and tried to use it and we have not got the instructions or the controller.
Went back to currys and they can't find the controller and have given us £20 back.
Can you tell me do we need the controller as we can't get the speakers to work....we have bought a hdmi lead and connected the telly to the surround sound and ...no sound coming through.
Can someone please tell us what leads are needed and whether we need the controller also if anyone has a spare instruction booklet i'd be MEGA grateful.
    thanks for reading xx
