Dropped in to a local Curry's today and was told they have never stocked them.
Also rang the Currys hotline and the guy said the same thing.
Any ideas?

Thank you very much :T.
Called into Wrexham currys today and have bought the display model.....my husband is thrilled to bits x:j0 -
Cool.
I succumbed and bought a new Sony from John Lewis with £50 trade-in on my old Toshiba 28" 'Flat Screen' CRT monster!! Collecting tomorrow so will finally get to use my G500!!0 -
2 XBoxes and a PS3 custardy, that's just plain luxury! That top right one is bound to get warm though! I'm going to have a look for one of these for the 2nd room I think as it's more wife friendly than amp + speakers + stand!0

nah what you see is....
1 big fat PS3
1 V+ box
1 360 elite
1 HD DVD drive(considering spraying this black to dull it down) + singstar bit
1 HDMI switch
its such a tight fit i had to remove the magnetic catch to get the V+ box in
heat is an issue, for media playback its fine but for running games i tend to open the doors a bit
i dont play many games nowadays anyway.
if it was an open design like the sony it wouldnt be an issue
at a later date we may go for a PS3 slim just for the extra air circulation
a proper AV set up just isnt practical especially with my little boy (20 months)
the TV is already a magnetic draw for little hands, speakers and wires would be too much
however for its size the panny adds a good punch to movies. obviously the surround aspect its questionable but its better than standard TV speakers by miles.0 -
Does any techy people know how many hdmi leads, switches and optical leads i would need to have this up and running decent with a sony bravia tv , an xbox 360 and a sony NS718H dvd player? I've bought all this for my boys xmas and im getting more and more confused everytime I look at the manual

no cable/sat box?
you would need one from the TV to the sony sound system
then one cable from each item to the sound system
if you go beyond the number of HDMI sockets then you would also need an HDMI switch box
these come in auto and manual versions
my own is manual but has a remote
so for my set up i have one HDMI cable to the sound system from the HDMI switch box
i change outputs via the switch box remote0 -

I see so once the tv is connected to it then everything else like the 360 and dvd can be connected to the stand, that makes sense to me  .No cable or sky box as tv i'm hoping to get him has built in freeview. Thankyou for your reply, now can chill a bit instead of getting up on xmas morning to find we don't have all the right stuff to make it work lol :rotfl:September wins - Quizonaut - Stress-out CD , Keno.com $43.500 -

as long as you have 1 or 2 HDMI cables plus the main TV one then you can get going
you know not to spend crazy money on HDMI cables?
also im assuming you have HDMI on your 360?0
