    Ok, so that is another hour and a half of my life that I have wasted with the twuntiest of financial instutions. I told them that I reckon my names gets flagged up every six months for the latest "wind up" because it surely can't be possible that they are simply that incompetent.......

    Anyway - apparently someone tried to get into my account on 14th December, from an "unusual" IP address........so they put a block on my account.....

    The only thing was, that they didn't tell me there was a block on it, so allowed me to continue making payments......they just decided to hold onto the money, in case it wasn't me that was making the payments :confused: Except they didn't tell me that they were holding onto the payments......and the only communication from them were emails confirming my change of password that I did, and the lovely message saying I had been passed to collections who seemed to know nothing about it.

    So, on 14th December, when a block was put on the account, due to a potential scammer, did they write to me? Did they email me? Did they ring me on my home phone or land line? Bollox did they.......and they can see that they didn't do so, and when I ask why, they just say "I can only apologise"........When I rang up to change my password - why did the security people not mention it to me then, I was after all ringing the appropriate department......the clue is in "thank you for calling the SECURITY department" :rolleyes: And why, when I rang the only number they told me to ring, on Sunday, did no one have any idea as to why I had been asked to ring......surely, somewhere on the account it should pop up on the screen saying "account suspended for security reasons" or some such wording.

    Or am I just being daft and unreasonable :confused:

    My complaint has been lodged formally, my money shall appear in my account in the course of the day, and when it does, and shows as cleared, I shall close my account and rid myself of any future potential dealings with this bunch of complete bankers.

    :mad:

    So, it is now midday - I still have my housework to do, and I am just wound up beyond all comprehension.

    :mad::mad:

    These things are sent to try us........took my frustration out on the hoover, which was already in shock at the fact that it was being used :rolleyes:

    Still, any bit of fluff that DARES to still be on my carpets will soon know about it if it makes itself visible......just got to do the dusting and polishing downstairs and do the ironing (!), clean the upstairs bathroom, and I am done for the day I think.....

    Ha Ha That has to be off-shore Shaun.

    Must admit I do get a bit hacked of with the first thing I hear when I answer a call is "Thank God you're not in India" If I'm really bored I tell them I'm in Mumbai actually. That being said I do totally understand as I often end up looking at logs of previous calls and thinking "Why the heck did you do THAT ?" and sorting it out.

    Mind you I'm always getting told I should stick to script more-to which my response is-I fixed it and the customer thanked me profusely What more do you want ? Call centre rebel that's me ;) Bringing back customer service one call at a time !!

    Day before Christmas eve lady in the taxi queue was telling me the problems she was having with her email (with my company) and how she'd got nowhere with the call centre. Next shift-quick call to her and sorted it. One happy lady and I get discount on my next purchase at her store (which is something I actually need and was going to be stretched to afford) LOL

    sorry to hear about egg, they are just as bad as BT aren't they?
    it's a shame you can't see them in person when you close the account to stick the fingers up at them. Hope you get a written appology and some compensation for what you've gone through never mind the calls you've had to make to them.
