Yes, I do want to run again, macgirl - I thoroughly enjoyed the few short runs I did the other week.......

Whilst I fully accept that I will not reach 40 looking like Elle McPherson, I do want to reach 40 being reasonably fit, less stressed, debt free, and in general good health, so running will certainly slot in there nicely.

This week, my exercise is the housework - my butt aches from all the climbing up on stools and worktops in the kitchen yesterday to reach tops of cupboards/windows, and my bingowings got a definite workout from cleaning the windows........:o

OH has managed to get the car booked in for tomorrow morning, so hopefully we can get it sorted quite easily. I've put a load of washing in, and sorted the next load, and will start my full on attack at 9.......with the radio on full to keep me company.....

    Good morning Hypno,

A terrible night's sleep here too. Been up ages doing scratchies etc and housework and packing. Panic will shortly set in as we're nowhere near ready for moving out on Thursday, and we have to leave for the airport by 10 so no time then!!

Hope you have a good day, and that the coffee helps.

I don't envy you with the last minute packing panic, se! I hope it all goes according to plan, and that you don't get too stressed!

I think tomorrow the 'rest' will just have to be put in black plastic bags and dealt with when we get back :)

Just checked we do have a roll of them :)

Right, from this time until about the end of February, I go into full old style mode and try and do a number of storecupboard challenges - partly to get rid of all the excess Christmas food, partly to have a declutter of the cupboards, and mostly to enable my December pay, that came ludicrously early, to last until the end of January, which seems light years away!

So, a quick look in the cupboards and freezer shows that we have:

    one quarter pounder
    one spicy chicken escalope
    one chicken kiev

So that is one "pot luck" meal taken care of on a day that OH is working late (and therefore I don't need to feed him at home)......we will all draw straws for what item we will be lucky (!) enough to eat.......

I also have, as a result of the recent Tesco £5 meal deal offer, 7 apple pies/apple crumbles/cherry pies in the freezer and a tiramisu in the fridge :o I suspect we will be having apple pie for lunch on more than one occasion in the next few weeks........at least I can claim it as one of our five a day

My mum bought me (a couple of years ago, mind) a whole load of thai packet mixes, which have been in the cupboard getting in the way ever since - so I also see an oriental meal or two on the horizon, tom yum soup and chicken satay (or perhaps turkey satay with leftovers from Christmas?). Perhaps I could do an alternative takeaway night......will give it some thought.

And so the list goes on.........January is always a month to become adventurous with mealtimes.......and for the kids to learn not to complain about what they are given, for tomorrow's meal could be a lot worse!!

Right, it is past 9.....must get on!

Sorry to butt in lovely people but I'm trying to register on BB but it's not letting me deposit - am I missing some obvious trick?
