Apparently the IP address being used was in Maidstone, so def not me.....
You can't track down IP addresses like that. It will be registered to your ISP who may very well actually be in Maidstone.
My IP appears in Shropshire.

I guess after Hypno reads ZTD's response there may just be a chance she could be temporarily labelled as having Tourette's
It's the lack of honesty that grates when dealing with this big organisations... why can't they just say "I don't know, but I'll find out... and then ACTUALLY find out"?
It's not the lack of hearing that disabled me today, it was the teller's attitude

Dear Miss Fresian
As we were recently unable to access your meter we have had to estimate your bill and therefore your monthly payment will increase to £95.

So, I decided to phone their call centre to see what could be done about this outrage.
Flying_Fresian (Heroine of this story): Um...hello. You've sent me a letter saying you're going to double my monthly payment because you tried to read my meter and failed. Can you explain this to me?
Scottish Power (Insert pantomine Boo Hiss noises here): Yes madam, we have to estimate it because we can't read the meter.
FF: Ok, I understand that, but what part of the recent activity made you think we had doubled our usage of power? Also, we didn't know you needed to read the meter, we didn't have a card through the door.
SP: Oh, we always put a card through the door madad.
FF: But you didn't. *sigh* Ok, can we arrange a day for your meterman to come and look at the readings and in the meantime can you please reduce my bill to the previous amount until we can sort this out?
SP: I'm sorry madam, we can't reduce the bill without a meter reading.
FF: But you increased it without a meter reading!!! *mutes phone* @!$%@@**
SP: Our system doesn't allow us to reduce the monthly payment without a reading.
FF: *sigh*
They did eventually agree to reduce the payment, but by the time they did this my blood pressure (and work's phonebill) was a lot higher. W*nker$.
I really must move energy supplier.....0 -

Yep, ain't that the truth.
My OH has a theory about this which I wouldn't like to disclose on a public forum for fear of unintentionally offending people. But I hear you.flying_fresian wrote: »
I'm with them too and one day (back in the good old days when I was paying £50 per month to them, but long before my LBM when an increase in a monthly bill was the END OF THE WORLD.....) I received a letter......
