Sorry to read that you are having a rubbish time, sundowner, but you need not feel as though you have let that pup down - you rescued it, and took it somewhere where it has a chance. That is quite the opposite of letting it down in my book!
See what you have done as incredibly positive, and don't let it invade your sleep - perhaps you can ask the sanctuary to let you know how it is getting on?Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Sundowner, well done to you for rescuing the poor pup. To have kept it yourself when you already have as many pets as you can cope with / afford would not only have been letting it down, but also your other animals, so you did absolutely the right thing is giving it to an animal sanctuary where they will find it a lovely caring, loving home with a family who will adore it. You definately deserve the :A smiley!

Right, bedroom is tidy, clean, and polished, so I feel as though I am regaining control. I will give the en-suite a quick once-over while my bath is running, and that will be it for the evening.
I've also picked up three Christmas presents at reasonable cost today, so that is three more that I have not left until the last minute. I need to have everything bought and wrapped before I go on holiday and there is still a lot to buy and do.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. I've had quite a good weekend on the housework front - but not done any ironing yet. We went to friends house whilst dh sorted her computer but was there much longer than I expected - so pork in cider I'd planned didn't get put in oven till 5pm. So we had soup and sandwiches for tea instead of trying to rush belly pork by cooking it too fast - so that's tomorrows tea organised - pork in cider all round.
You have spurred me to go and get my ironing board out Hypno - I've done rest of house this weekend - I WILL not be beaten by ironing mountain - I would rather visit ironing mountain than real mountain covered in snow any time - with my track record I'd end up at bottom of real mountain in pieces and skis wrapped round my neck!!

Hot bath, Jo Malone candles and glass of red wine.....all making for a reasonable Sunday evening. I've done enough housework to feel as though I am not a slob, the ironing is up to date, uniforms ready for the morning, and a decision made to get back into running this week in order to regain some of my fitness and give myself some time every couple of days.
I still want to do my meal plan for the week.....then that's me, done for the day!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

But quite often, SH, I get to this point in the day and really do feel as though I have done nothing - or not enough. I really do wish I could get the house tidy during the week, and get me organised enough to do the weekly shop ready to be delivered on a Friday evening, so that I could be a bit more relaxed at the weekends.
In the olden days, when I had a cleaner, she used to come on a Friday, so that I had to be disciplined in doing getting the house tidy before Friday morning, and of course I could come home from work at the end of the week and have it all clean and sparkling for me - a lovely way to round off my week and start my weekend.
If I can get to that point again, I will be very happy - still work in progress though!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
you certainly inspire me with your energy Hypno. I think in december ( or from now till christmas eve) i will be sorting the bedroom so that everything is out of sight and tidy, not along the walls cluttering stuff up and creating the smell of damp.0
