    Oh how true !!! :rotfl::rotfl:

    When I was looking for my laptop we had a phone outage at work and one of my workmates kept finding me better deals than the one I started with. -all part of the virtual village we already live in. It's quite scary how much influence this site has had upon my life -I buy nothing without coming here first -and even my job came from a post here.

    Im slowly but surely getting friends and family into more mse ways :o
  • I love the DFW village idea think of all the bulk buys we could make, car pool, swopping of jobs we hate, MB seminars etc. and Martin as Mayor lol

    Well, I have done ALL the ironing - every last bit of it......paired a million socks, and you can now get into the spare room, and I have even made up the spare bed, so it is actually a usable room rather than just a dumping/ironing accumulating room........I will decorate it next week if DD's room is not ready for painting.

    I have been a good mum, and have stood in wind and rain to watch DS play football - their team won 4-1 but boy it was cold :o I quite like football, but today I really did feel as though I was doing my duty, rather than enjoying myself :rolleyes:

    DS will grab a bath in a mo, but I think I will then wait for the water to re-heat then I will see if I can get myself a soak to warm through.....then dinner and X-factor.

    Hope you have all had a good day x

    Bl00dy hell Hypno - what a turnaround! :T
    I thought I'd had a good day, I've only ironed 3 things having stopped midway to make Chicken casserole and apple crumble. I HATE ironing and would rather do any other job, so I am very envious that yours is all done....

    Enjoy your evening :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
    Well done hypno! That is seriously impressive. None of my washing is dry enough to iron tonight...naturally I am devastated. ;)

    I just need a kick up the backside from time to time, macgirl......and who better to provide it than you lot :confused: I have to concentrate on the things I CAN control, and work out how to make better, more constructive, use of my limited time.....including some time for me, which is always hard to come by.

    So.......I am just finishing a coffee, then while I wait for the water to heat up, I will properly tidy my bedroom......I've washed, dried and ironed the bedding so it will be all nice for me to slip into later this evening.

    We've got roast chicken, jacket potatoes and cauliflower cheese for dinner, all doing nicely in the oven, and which is starting to smell delish. I must make a menu plan for the week so that I can be organised, and less stressed after work. I have stuff in the freezer but it all needs thinking about in advance because it is largely stuff that will need cooking from scratch. So I will do the "thinking in advance" bit now, and hopefully save myself some hassle later on :rolleyes:

  • I read your diary avidly and just wanted somewhere friendly to stop by as I am having a rubbish day. I found a puppy tied to a tree a few days ago, I could not look after him as I already have 2 and the cost is already huge. I have found him a place at a sanctuary. I know it is for the best but I really feel I too have let down. I think the lack of sleep he caused is having an effect now as feeling awful. Small Daughter is distraught!!
    Anyway glad you are having a better day - hope my better day comes tomorrow.
