    I'm back!

we had a lovely weekend away, I actually felt quite good when I was all dressed up to go out on Friday night - OK so I've a lot to lose yet, but I'm definitely looking better than I have in ages.:j

I actually thought I looked OK instead of thinking I looked terrible.:o

Have added everything I can remember into moy points tracker, and after Friday's weigh in when I started at zero I am now MINUS 51 points:rotfl:

So I will have to be spotless this week in what I eat, otherwise I will undo a pile of good work over the past few weeks. I've got more than half the week to go though, so who knows - if I can somehow pull off a STS then I'll be ecstatic.:p

good Luck to the Monday weighers.:D

Wow 51 extra points, that does sound like a good weekend lol. But well done for getting straight back on the plan, it's so easy to let the weekend creep over a bit isn't it!? And lovely to hear the weight loss is making you feel better about how you look :)

I lost 1 measly pound this week - I've had a wobbly week but never went over my 18 points, so I think this could be the week before (with birthday cake!) catching me up, as predicted  Still, it's a loss so I'm not unhappy.

    Loss this week - 1lb
Total loss on challenge - 1 stone 6lbs

My favourite jeans (size 16) are getting like clown's trousers now, they go off and on without undoing them and I have to use a belt to keep them up, but there's so much spare fabric now they are not very flattering. So I had a mad ambitious moment and ordered them in a size 14. They are too tight of course, though not as bad as I expected (another 4-7lbs off and they should be fine) so they are giving me an incentive to keep going :) The muffin top (more like a full scale gateaux!) is a bit extreme though!

Well done to those who have lost and LOL @ the 51 points!!!!! :rotfl:

I feel ashamed that I am doing sooo badly. Must stop snacking on crap and get back into it. I'll browse the WW site tonight for inspiration.

NBirdy - a pound is a pound, even when it's 454grams;) Look at your weight loss over both weeks and you'll see that you're doing fine.

Tara , at 133lbs you'd have to be 5 foot nothing to be in the region of slightly overweight, so try not to worry about not losing quickly. Eat healthy foods and your body will find its own perfect weight.:D For people who have more to lose it will be a quicker start, but it will get tougher for us too. If I ever get to 133lbs I'll be on maintenance (and I'd be conked out on the floor too - I'd have fainted!)

im having the same problem with trousers - the elephant bum look isnt attractive at all, but like you, the next size down is just that bit too small

have got around the issue, by buying a trousers in a fabric that has a bit of lycra in, so it can stretch a tiny amount, but not so much, that im fooling myself, that ive gone down a size and it fits, iyswim - def not elasticated waist, as that would be going back to my old habits

  • Lost a pound this week so back on track finally. Going to France tomorrow though so all the good work could be undone in a couple of days! :D
  • hiya guys, sorry have;t been on for a while - have been totalllllly off the rails!

Well done Ailuro& NBirdy on your losses and total weight loss - soo happy that this challenge has done such a good job!

Tara, hun, I'm feeling like you and I have waaay more to lose than you! I got to the gym today after two weeks of not goingm and planning to go and not ever making it... was sweating buckets and loved the class!

WI today had me at 12.9 which means a total blooming stinking total of 3lbs since starting this challenge nearly 2 months ago. Ive failed each and every target I set myself and am obviously rubbish at this losing weight malarky. I was talking to someone about Cambridge Diet today and am seriously thinking about doing something like that for a month or so, so at least I can lose some and look good. No way am I gonna be 12 stone for xmas...BUT i am gonna get back to the gym this week, and get back to eating better.

Still havent got into the changing way of life mentality, much as i thought I had. Really gutted about how little I have lost, and really ashamed  and angry at how little i have achieved, esp compared to you guys.

Feel i have let myself and you down, by not fully committing to this, and yo-yo in with the same loss or gain every week. Have pigged out for the last couple of weeks, back to eating lots of rubbish and carp, and for no real reason at all.....

Anyway, rant over thanks for listening, and heres to me trying to bust my big fat lardy !!! to get to under 12 stone by the end of this challenge........!

I am just over 5 feet tall, and believe me I do need to lose a stone! But thank you for the kind words. :o

plahelpmesave - don't beat yourself up. Sounds like you and I have been doing more or less the same thing, it is hard to be good isn't it! I will keep at it if you will! At least you went to the gym today and enjoyed it, that is a very positive step.

Today hasn't been great. I keep meaning to walk more but the evenings are so dark and horrible, I can't face it. :( I think I need a SAD lamp, am just feeling really down with all the darkness. I have bought 'I Can Make You Thin' by Paul McKenna, will read it this evening and see how that goes.

I just read that last bit, I sound like a right moan!!! It's too late to go walking this evening, but starting tomorrow, I will go for an evening walk. If anything, it perks me up and gets the circulation going.

  • I watched the Paul McKenna TV programme and couldn't get on with the idea of chewing food so slowly but I have heard that it does work.

I am like both of you, I do really well for a few weeks then think I have cracked it so the rubbish (but delicious) food starts creeping back in and I enjoy it so much that more and more gets eaten and before you know it bad habits are back. :o

I just really really enjoy food and can't bear the thought of living on just what is good for you for the rest of my life with no treats etc. I have decided to try to be good during the week and then eat what I want to some extent on the weekends. I also have to exercise otherwise it all goes back on.

I think you just have to strike a happy medium but I am convinced that skinny people just don't like food as much as I do. :D
