Well done aiuro, nbridy, and tclci on your WIs -glad no one has put anything on!
I have stopped tracking! mainly coz we've been in and out so much for the past few days I have been eating other peoples food so cooking much! have also had a verrry sweet tooth - so TOTM may becoming early!
Need to get myself sorted this week. no gym yesterday and today due to work and family commitments - am working from home this morning and have to be in for about 1pm... Will be going gym tomorrow, thursday and friday morning - withour fail! will also stop blooming snacking on bits and pieces - have loads of fruit so will stick to that.
Keep going girls, you're all doing really well.0 -
plzhelpmesave, I haven't been tracking either, I just can't seem to work out the portions or points for some things and then I feel like 'what;s the point' as the total for the day won't be accurate lol!
I feel good after my little dance-athon last night, I actually did about 15 minutes more and it was a good stress reliever. I'm going to try to do a little every day, and also get out for walks in the dark evenings (does anyone else enjoy walking in the winter? I do).Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

its always worth tracking your points, because that way you know how far over you have gone, as most people err on the cautious side when guestimating points - its fairly easy to work out points/portions once you have logged them on a regular basis, as your brain easily clicks over - ie if i buy a M&S ready-made ham & egg salad, i know one slice of ham is going to be about 2pts, the egg is prob another 2, and any dressing is also going to be around 3pts so can guess the meal was around 8pts tops if im over estimating
most meals can easily be found on the WW website, and even if you cant find the exact item, there is always something similar that can be used - as for portion size, i think most people know what a ready meal version would be sizewise, so if you aim for something similar to that, then you are going to be more or less spot on in your points estimation
i think the easiest way to work out portion control is to compare it to the size of your hand - a large potato would cover your whole hand, a medium one would cover your palm, a small one..... well who goes that tiny lol
a chicken breast would work along similar size lines, as would most meat portions, ie chops
ok, sometimes you might be slightly off, but not so far off, that it wouldnt be worth tracking - 2pts here or there isnt that great an amount - but by not tracking anything, you could find that you going over on a regular basis, and thats when you start going back to your old eating habits, and the weight goes back on
As for excersising in the dark - love it! - i can pull my collar up and hat down, and no-one recognises me, and hopefully by the time the warmer weather comes around, i wont be that really odd looking plodder, jogging down the road, who all the passing car drivers laugh at

flea72 - good point and thanks. I will start tracking again, I promise.
I weighed myself this morning, 132.6lbs woo hoo! 1.3lbs lighter overnight!I know it's probably fluid and I only weighed in yesterday but it gave me a little boost. So I have been quite good today as a result.

Well done Tara and Rotherham Lass! Ive just weighed in at home and am 12.9 on my home scales! will weigh myself properly at the gym later - even though it means my WIs are all on different days!
Went back to pointing yesterday and put my brekkie and dinner in for the rest of the week. Bought some porridge from Home Bargains yesterday so will be having that or Weetabix minis for brekkie every day with skimmed milk. Have loads of frozen stir fry veg in the freezer so will use those up too and have a stir fry every nite until they are finished! good for using up food in the house and my weight loss!
Im going away next weekend so am trying to be as good as I can before then! Lunch today is half a can of WW soup with a WW petit pan. No gym yesterday due to work so will be going today.0 -

Just HALF a can?
Maybe I'm just plain greedy, I think the tins are very small as it is, I'd not dirty a dish for just half a can?Maybe that's why I'm overweight in the first place.:o
I've not tried the WW petit pain yet, I tried the WW naan bread last week and it was dry and horrible. It was so bad I threw it in the bin and had my soup with nothing to dip in it.

This stripey blouse wouldn't stay buttoned before,so I was all chuffed that it seemed to fit....but I got my picture taken without realising it at the weekend,(thought they were photographing the kids I'm looking down at!
It looks like I've still a bit to lose before it fits without straining the buttons. In my defence I did have a vest top on underneath, and I would have straightened myself up if I'd known the camera was there. Here's to what I'd have looked like a stone ago though! I've decided to keep this blouse and get my picture taken in it after every stone (if I get that far) I think the next update pic will be me wearing it in Disney, I'll post the pic on here when I get back.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
