Well I managed to avoid eating any birthday cake all weekend, and have lost 3lbs this week
. It's my birthday in a couple of weeks (2 more weigh-ins to go) and I've been determined to lose a stone by the time I get there. However I've just realised that they'll probably take 2 points away then
It's one of my kids birthday party this weekend, lots of nibbly snacky bits to prepare and have leftovers of.... so will have to be good this week in preparation.
Loss this week - 3lbs
Total loss on challenge - 13lbs0 -
NBirdy, that's fantastic - you're so close to your stone you can almost touch it!!
Why not get a shop delivered on Saturday morning that has all the part food in it, that way yo won't be tempted.
Drop the leftovers into a local youth club/sheletered housing or homeless shelter, they'll be glad of the ready made food and it stops temptation undoing yor good work.
plzhelpmesave, we are one month into the free trial, at least I am, I've had four weigh ins already.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

plzhelpmesave, I am still on hols, I come home tomorrow! lol
Got weighed this morning, 134.4lbs! I'm surprised it wasn't more but happy anyway. Maybe I'll have lost a little more by the time I get home. So I'm down 3.6lbs since the start of the challenge (21 Sept?)... better than nothing but I need to speed it up a little!I want to have lost a stone in total by Christmas.

Well I have my weigh in today and lost a pound. Not great but 6lbs in total since we started so I am happy. Just want to get below 11st as it will be a real milestone that haven't seen since DS2 born 3 years ago.
To be honest I didn't do very well at weekend and didn't even bother pointing anything, could have been the McDonalds on Saturday that put me off. My only saving grace was the amount of activity points I clocked up during the week with walking to school and pre-school which was an hour round trip each day pushing a heavy pushchair. Might be trickier this week with half term but I suppose I will be too busy/harassed too eat.
Good luck everyone and keep up the good work.0 -
another 2lb off this week :T
got my first silver 7 :j
but down to 20pts now

Tara, when does the challenge officially end, is it Christmas Day or somewhere around then?
Well done on getting your silver seven, tclci, you'll soon get used to the new points level, especially if you make a habit of changing what you eat regularly. I find if I eat the same old thing day after day I get into the habit of having a certain food at a certain time, this week I'm having a different breakfast to force me to break this habit.
Ritaroo, well done to you too - be careful though, sneaky weekends like you had can have a habit of coming up and biting you on the bum a week later. Let's be careful out there...lol. I know this happens from WW classes I've attended over the years.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Im going to the gym later so will WI in there - ended up having a chilled day with the kids yesterday and didnt want to go out - even to weigh myself. Hoping to have lost 2lbs this week - but happy with any loss tbh.
Its our anniversary today - 8 happy years -wahey! BUT hubby has bought a triple layer chocolate cake..... bless him!! will have a very small slice.0 -
Well done everyone on the losses. I've managed 2 lbs off this eek so I am really pleased. 5 lbs off all together so going for the silver 7 next week.

this is weetabix cake.
I'm not sure about soaking raisins in tea, but at only one point per serving it's a lot cheaper than one bit and it's gone WW bars. Might have to try it sometime.
Well done Rotherham Lass, 2 lbs is a good loss, good luck on getting your silver 7.:D
Plzhelpmesave, enjoy a little bit of cake, count the points and work it off later.:j It's not every day you're married 8 years!Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Oh dear, I plain forgot I'd ordered toffee apples to be delivered with the shopping tonight,
spotted one
scoffed it
THEN looked at the points.
7 and a half points for a toffee apple.
I've double checked using other websites to get nutrition data, and it's definitely 7 .5 for a measly toffee apple. I just thought it was a bit of sugar coating the apple, but turns out it's butter and LOTS of sugar.
Oh dear, will definitely be dragging DD out for a long walk tomorrow night.:oMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
