Only me again!
Is anyone else taking better care of themselves since starting this challenge or losing weight?? Think it kind of all ties in together - when you feel better about how you look, it shows in different ways.
I had my hair done just before this challenge started and have been making more of an effort with what I am wearing. Defiantely wearing more fitted stuff, rather than the big baggy things which made me look fatter.
I have some brilliant Estee Lauder foundation (bought with boots points!) which has totally transformed my face and makes and feel brilliant, and encourages me to put on a bit more make up than usual. Even buffed my nails while i was watching telly last nite. I actually got complimented on my lovely skin today by the tesco chekout lady!! Told her it was just good foundation but she mademe feel really good about myself - DH also told me I looked gorgeous today so that was another bonus!
Anyway just wanted to share! hope you're all looking after yourselves more too - after all, we're worth it! xx0 -
Not doing WW at home as I have NO willpower so joined my local class last night.
Weighing in at a staggering 16 stone! I intend to loose 3 stone by June and have every intention of walking down that aisle a thinner bride. There are only two things a child will share willingly - communicable diseases and their mother's real age0 -
Friday weigh in for me - just the one pound off this week.
But since last week's 3.5 was way more than I expected I'm quite happy with a pound.Thought it was going to be just a half, but tried again o the scales.:p
It's also my 5% star - so halfway to my first goal of 10%
Going to the gym tonight while DD is at gymnastics, I have tennis elbow so haven't been exercising, since I've been attending the physio it's feeling much better, so I'll give it a try tonight.
eta did my measurements, have lost an inch off my waist since last week. Everything else is the same or slightly bigger, think maybe the tape wasn't as tight or something?Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

How is everyone's weekend doing? I've been to 2 birthday parties today _party_ and got another one tomorrow so am struggling a bit. 2 of the parties are kids ones, so lots of yummy kiddy party nibbles, sausage rolls, crisps etc. And for one today the food was pizza (which I can't eat - wheat + yeast = _pale_) so they made one especially for me on a scone base. I could hardly refuse to eat it could I!? So now I'm trying to figure out how many points 1/4 of it was.
Weekends are a pain!0 -
My weekend is going well!
Went to the gym on Friday for the first time in ages.Tennis elbow is better, so gave it a go, no weights though, I think that would be pushing it..
Had a McDonald's yesterday, but I had counted/saved the points for it and was allowed it, had saved some points from from Friday too , not haven't even used my exercise points yet.(saving them for an emergency) The McChicken sandwich definitely wasn't worth the 6 points, but the deluxe caramel McFlurry at 7 1/2pts was indulgent but worth it,yummy...
On balance, it was a nice treat, and it didn't wreck my points like my pizza hut treat did the other week.
I've got a kid's birthday party today too, but I'm going to drop DD off at the party and go for a walk along the beach instead, hopefully it will be a bit drier today.
The fridge is looking a bit bare, so I'm going to nip to the shops now while it's quiet, need to pick up some wrapping paper and a card for the party.
btw, anyone discovered Dairylea Dunkpots yet? They're one point each, about the same size as a little Philadelphia pot, you are meant to use them for dunking veg in, but I've been spreading them on toast - no toher spread needed and one tub does two slices easily.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

Hello, just had a quick skim through the thread and am so encouraged by all of you!
Thanks for your good wishes - TBH, the Delhi belly hasn't affected me apart from just being even more lazy than usual on the beach and a few extra trips to the loo and having a minuscule appetite (wish that would last a bit longer!). I'm better now but still eating lightly and defo feeling lighter! I might get to weigh myself tomorrow in the local pharmacy so will report back then. Fingers crossed eh! Good luck to all the Monday WI peeps!!!

ailuro - you're up early!
Welcome back Tara! hope you had a great time.
Weekend has been ok - although i haven;t tracked a thing! will go and do it when ive finished on here. Even though i havent tracked i can pretty much remember everything i have eaten - guess it comes from the usual tracking. Most indulgent thing was a big slice of cheesecake- which was DDs "unofficial" birthday cake at home so I had to have some - and i wanted some!
Other than than I have been really good with eating. Had big brekkies over the weekend but we ate late so didn't have any lunches and ate dinner at a relatives house yesterday but again, I was really good and ate the most healthy stuff and a lot less than i would have a few weeks ago. Was feeding my kids at the same time and actually used that as another way of eating slowly and eating less - put one thing at a time in my plate and spent more time eating their bits of leftovers rather than a large main meal of my own!
No real excercise done over the weekend, other than bits of walkiing. Feel rubbish today and its cold! so not sure what i will do re excercise as all the kids are at home too..... need to stay focussed this week and not bring too much junk in the house...
To all the mothers out there - hope we all have a safe & fun half term! I will try to enjoy and play with my kids in between shouting at them and telling them off....
Good luck to everyone weighing in today! It is my WI day today as well so will have walk down to gym with the kids to get weighed if i feel up to it! if not, will do it tomorrow..
are we on week 4 of our free trial now??0
