Think we need Tara to come back off holiday and sort me out!!

I am still offocially carp and eating loads of tosh & not tracking a thing! think im going through a phase while i am on TOTM and generally feeling rubbish, so dont wanna play!

Will be at work tomorrow so hopefully that will get me back on track. Gonna have jacket potato & beans for lunch, weetabix for brekkie and then stir fry for dinner. - in fact have loads of veggir stiry fry in the freezer so will have that every night with either chicken or prawns for dinner. Gym on Thursday & Friday too. Will try to get the wii out on weekend with kids....famous last words though!

I have had a bad few days.... but today I feel much better... I bought some of those salter digital scales yesterday and am starting again today. Going to have breakfast (measured properly!) and then off to sainsburys in a bit to stock up on various things. Hopefully will get the wii out later if my two little ones will allow me!

plzhelpmesave... have you seen the point value for beans? I had some the other day on toast for breakfast (thought they'd be quite a good option!) and then when I tracked it, it was 6 points for a 140g portion which isn't even half a can!! I was stunned!!

Well I have discovered butternut squash chips and am totally hooked! Last night I had for dinner:

    Butternut squash chips (0)
2 x Asda Good For You Sausages (2.5)
    2 Eggs (2.5)

And it was gorgeous! Sausage egg and chips for 5 points :D I felt very naughty afterwards and should probably have had a smaller portion, but oh well! I needed something coz I'm getting urges to eat junk again

With the beans, I think different makes are different points values? So maybe check and only buy the lowest points ones!

ooh... that sounds nice! stupid question, but how did you cook the chips?

Personally, I couldn't eat anything other than Heinz beans... I don't think others taste anywhere near as nice.. so I think I will avoid beans!!

I peeled the bns, cut it in half from top to bottom and scooped out the seeds. Then just sliced it into rough 'chip' shapes. I sprayed a baking tray with Fry Light (0 points), and lay the chips flat over the surface, like with normal oven chips. Gave them another squirt of Fry Light, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper (apparently chilli flakes is good also but too hot for me!). Then stuck them in the oven 200 degrees for 15-20 mins, same as hubby's regular oven chips. Very nice - so nice in fact that I'm going to have them again tonight!

Oh, was also reading the main WW thread and it seems that the Alpen Light bars (including the choc fudge ones :)) are only 1 point each, so will definitely get some of those for snacky moments. Iced Gems are quite low too I think? Can you tell I've got a sweet tooth lol

He tried one and said it was 'alright' but I gave him normal chips as he is the type that struggles to gain weight, and is prone to slipping underweight despite eating anything and everything .

He would eat them if I put them in front of him though. I think they're tastier than frozen real chips, although not so crunchy.

That's really helpful! Think I will have to stock up on some of those to get me through those difficult moments!
Had a quick look at the scales this morning and I seem to be heading in the right direction so that has spurred me on to be really good for the rest of the week!!
Am going away in a couple of weeks - nice hotel, half board .... Not sure how i'll manage that one especially with my MSE head on - "well if i've paid for it..."

I like butternut squash, didn't realise you could make pasta sauce with it though - take a look here!!

They always get an "ooh er missus" from my DH too - there's just something about the shape that makes him start talking like Frankie Howerd:rotfl:

Hehe I know just what you mean! What is it with men? My DH asked if I planned to eat it or take it in the bedroom  I mean, I know I've had two kids, but seriously...? :rotfl:
