Tara, have a wonderful holiday - eat whatever you like as long as you have twice as much salad or veggies!!;)

Second weigh in today, 3lbs off :D not sure I deserve it after that pizza, but have been angelic every day this week, so maybe I clawed it back!!:j

So I got my first silver star - not sure what I'm meant to do with it, though!

p.s. Got myself a set of digital Salter scales in Sainsbury's yesterday for less than a tenner, their TU range ones were reduced to £1.50 but they didn't have any left.surprise surprise!

The last ones I had were ancient and it was very easy to cheat by giving the scale bowl a little nudge to make the needle move in the preferred direction!:o

Yay well done ailuro2! Those scales sound good, think I need digital ones as mine are just like your old ones :o

Tara, hope you have an amazing holiday, don't get too held up with diet stuff :D

lexuslass just forget yesterday, with any luck the damage won't be too bad. But force yourself to do that weigh-in and start the next week off well.

I just had a sneaky preview weigh, and......... have stayed the same :( Only 3 days left to try and shift some weight.

Thanks all for the kind words. I did my WI, am 134.6lbs so half a pound back on! Never mind!

I won't be too worried about the diet, but I just think that in tropical climes I am more likely to eat lightly - and also someone else is preparing it and exotic fruit is freely available and cheaper than here... and you never get fatty rubbish! And also I will be happier to come home to the cold if I'm a few lbs lighter. I just know that I will kick myself if I don't make the most of it.

ailuro2 - well done on the 3lbs :D and the scales!! The digital ones are worth the extra few £££s.

NBirdy, sts is better than gaining, remember xoxo

  • Morning fellow Weight Watchers:D

I lost 3.5 this week instead of the 1.5 I was expecting:j making my total 3stone 2lb. I have so far to go though sometimes it feels like I will never get there. I gained all this weight from comfort eating for years after a bereavement, then had a baby and I piled it on further. At the start of this year I had had Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for a severe case of depression and anxiety and it was a few weeks in to this treatment I started WW. It was a big step as up until then I wouldn't leave the house:o

Hope you are all well and thanks for letting me join in:beer:

Don't know if anyone goes on there but the WW site has forums where you might find some helpful tips. There is a board for 5stone+ , 3stone +, and those wanting to shift a few lb's.

Well, I weighed myself this morning... have stayed the same

Oh, well, serves me right and I haven't gained any so that's good.

On a mission now me thinks.... no Booze!!!!!!!

And I am going to look for some decent digital scales too... so fingers crossed for this week!!

The Salter ones I got are nice and slim, less than a tenner, and do up to 3KG, so you can put a bowl or a pot on them, then zero it and then add your ingredients - so no washing up to do on the scales.

They're like this, but black instead of white.

Will have to make something lovely this weekend since I've got them.:D

Millymoomoo - congratulations on your weight loss - that's a massive amount to lose in one week after you've already lost so much - power to your elbowe, or whatever the right phrase is to say well done!!:D

I have only posted about 6 times over on the WW boards, I like the layount of MSE, find the WW one very small and a bit confusing - sometimes it look slike a normal forum, other times it's more like a low graphics version - maybe becaus I use opera.

I'm quite happy here with the ever shrinking band of 'I got WW to pay ME to lose weight'
free trial challengers - I think it helps make it feel like a weekly group that we're accountable to, a bit like going to a WW class except we can compare notes every day!
