    yeah me too, it's fab!

they are quite small tho aren't they, you've just gotta watch you don't finish all 5 in the pack in one go!

Maybe you take one to work and leave the rest at home... you could nibble it (work colleagues will be calling you Tara the mouse!!) - set yourself a challenge and see if one can take you to the next mealtime!!

    Evening all

Had an okay day, was on a really long and boring course so couldnt really eat like a horse all day. Forgot my breakfast and ended up grabbing a cereal bar with macadamias and fruit only to discover when I got home it was 4.5 points.

Had a baked potato and tuna day today, had it twice!! :rotfl:

Back on nights tomorrow, thats not good, I tend to eat to keep myself awake!!

I dont want to diet, I want to wake up thin tomorrow!!!!

    xx
  • I lost 2lbs this week so am really pleased especially as I was away for the weekend and ate my body weight in chocolate brownies and curry!

    Today I have had:

Museli and yoghurt = 3 points
Home made chilli and small portion of rice = 5.5 points
Chicken breast in Chicken Tonight Spanish Chicken sauce with veg and potatoes = 6.5 points

I still have 4 points to save or treat myself. Mmm what to do? :A:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I presume most of you will get the guide 2 email from WW, but for those that don't, there's a list of 1 pointer Snack and Meal ideas...

    1. Egg White Omelette with Chives and Parmesan
Coat a small frying pan with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. In a small bowl, beat 3 egg whites until frothy and pour into prepared pan. When edges start to firm up, top eggs with 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh chives and 2 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese. Fold the omelette in half and cook to preferred doneness; season to taste with salt and pepper.
    2. Smoked Salmon Rounds with Lemon-Dill Cream
In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of sour cream with 1 teaspoon of fresh minced dill and 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice; season to taste with salt and pepper. Slice 1/4 of a cucumber into 6 thick rounds and spread a little of the sour cream mixture onto each round. Cut 25g of smoked salmon into 6 pieces and top each cucumber round with a piece of salmon.
    3. Sweetcorn Soup
Place 100g sweetcorn in a medium saucepan. Add 250ml of chicken stock, 1/4 teaspoon each of salt and pepper, and 1/8 teaspoon of cumin; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Puree in a blender and then top with chopped jalapeno, if desired.
    4. Ham-Wrapped Asparagus with Dijon Dressing
low fat mayonnaise; spread on one side of 45g of smoked ham slices. Wrap ham slices around 110g of steamed, cooled asparagus spears, either individually or around several spears at once.
    5. Creamy Carrot Dip and Crudit!s
Boil carrots in lightly salted water until really tender - about 20 minutes. Drain well and allow to cool. Put carrot in a blender or food processor with a few drops of vinegar, 1 teaspoon garlic puree, 1 tablespoon tomato puree, 30g low fat soft cheese, 1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce, 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander pinch salt and black pepper, freshly ground. Blend for 15-20 seconds, until smooth. Check seasoning, adding salt, pepper and more Tabasco or spices, to taste. Prepare a selection of veg like peppers and cucumber, sliced into sticks.
    6. Cucumber Chips and Dip
In a small bowl, mix and mash 2 teaspoon of sour cream with 2 tablespoon of reduced fat cottage cheese and 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh chives; season to taste with freshly ground black pepper. Cut 1/3 of a cucumber into thick rounds to use as chips.
    7. Grilled Prawns with Asian Dipping Sauce
Coat a grill pan with cooking spray and heat to high. Coat 4 King prawns with 1/2 teaspoon of olive oil and grill until they turn pink, about 3 to 4 minutes. In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, 2 teaspoons of low sodium soy sauce, 2/3 teaspoon of sugar and 1 teaspoon of fresh minced spring onions (you can also add 1/2 teaspoon of minced ginger and/or 1/2 teaspoon of minced jalapeno, if desired). Serve prawns with dip and grilled Zero POINTS value vegetables.
    8. Pineapple and Prawn Salad
In a small bowl, combine 65g cubed pineapple and 45g chopped cooked prawns. Add 1 teaspoon of chopped mint or coriander, and 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of fresh lime juice; toss to mix. Serve over shredded lettuce or baby greens; season to taste with salt and pepper.
    9. Roasted Cod
Preheat oven to Gas Mark 5/190ºC/375°F. Coat both a small roasting pan and 1 medium cod fillet with low fat cooking spray; season fish to taste with salt and pepper. Roast fish until middle turns opaque, about 7 to 8 minutes; sprinkle with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice and 2 to 3 teaspoons of minced parsley. Serve with roasted or steamed Zero POINTS value vegetables.
    10. Spruced Up Italian-Style Zero POINTS Value Soup
Sprinkle 2 teaspoon of grated Parmesan cheese into 250ml of Italian Style Soup (recipe on WW site)

I'm the same with soup - only really have it after being ill (why is it that when you are ill you always have soup???!!!? well I do anyway!!)

Now the weather is getting colder, they are the ideal thing to have I guess... I must look for some tasty soup (low point!) recipes to cook... the sweetcorn one sounds quite nice, but I would have to put chicken in it too which I guess pointswise, wouldn't be too bad for an evening dinner! But then I have to have buttered crusty cobs with mine!!

    Good morning my fellow WWers!

lexuslass, I looked for the carrot cake slices this morning but no luck. I like the idea of making one last till the next meal, some chance!!! :D Those 1 point snacks and meals sound great, thanks for posting them.

Rotherham Lass, well done on losing 2lbs, that is great going. :T

plzhelpmesave, you have totally got me in the mood for HM chicken and veg soup, yummmmmmmmm! I love soup and am always trying out new recipes in winter. Don't forget that butternut squash, turnip and swede are all 0 points, as are onions, garlic and ginger. Throw them all in a big pot and you're got yourself a batch of lovely warming 0 point soup and not a tin of tomatoes in sight! (sorry, no offenced to tinned toms, but do they have to feature in quite so many 0 point recipes? blush.gif ) I usually take out a few chunks, then blend the rest and add the chunks back in to make it extra satisfying. Mmm, might make some this evening in fact. I usually sweat the onions etc in a little olive oil but a teaspoon of olive oil between 6-8 portions of soup is not going to be much. I'll stick it in the points tracker anyway!

Well, I didn't do too badly last night, OH made veg-topped flatbreads which were gorgeous with a little grated parmesan on top. I'm all out of Greek yogurt today though, so am having bread with Flora Light and a little jam for brekkie. I have a WW meal with me for lunch (only 3.5 points or something) and will be having a healthy dinner. I also bought rather a lot of Nutella as it was v.v. cheap in Tesco but I promise I will ration it out and only have a little at a time (honest blush.gif ).

I dug out the skinny jeans and have hung them up where they can encourage/inspire me every single day and remind me of what I'm working towards.
