  • ooooooooh! just wrote a massive post and lost it! will be brief this time:

flea - your advice and knowledge is fantastic! keep it coming and thanks:beer:
Tara - we need to sort out your snack demons:rolleyes: try stocking up on some low point things you like and portion them out for the day/week so you only eat that amount. i have weighed out my 50g weetabix into little packets for the week so its ready for the milk to be added. p.s. i lost 3CM not inches off my waist! you got me so excited i had to measure myself again just to double check! Asda have all the ww yoghurts for £1 - bought some of the toffee and vanilla yesterday - they're ok

Been to the gym again today for bums & tums and 15 mins on the cardio stuff - was really packed in there! Weighed myself and have officially lost 3LBS since last week!:j:j So well chuffed with that and motivatd to keep going!

todays menu (23 points available and 3 activity points)

B- 50g weetabix choc chip minis with skimmed milk - 3.5 points

L - 2 ww wraps with last nights chicken stir fry & extra light mayo & salad
    5.5 points

D - pilau rice with lamb chops - don't know how to point this up?? but i have 10 points available for dinner so will keep within that

snacks - ww toffee yoghurt 0.5 apple 0.5 and 2 tangerines 0.5 ww almond slice 1.5

    have a good day x
  • forgot to say ... if and when you can, just spend a bit of time playing with the points tracker. Look up the foods, esp the bad stuff, and see how many points it is - hopefully will work as a motivator NOT to eat them e.g. that pizza hut pizza for 56 points!

keep an eye out for the low pointers and remember that different flavours of the same brand have different points! like flea said, cheesy quavers are 3 points, prawn cocktail quavers only 1.5...

Same for recicpes, have a play with the foods you like, save them to your favourites and try adding them to your daily foods so you can menu plan for the days ahead, e.g. select tomorrows dinner today so you can plan out your points for tomorrow!

Think it works better if you can pre-track what youre planning to eat so you know where you are with your points. Much harder to try to claw back points once you've gone over them..

sorry if this sounds like a lecture - just sharing my tips! :D

D - pilau rice with lamb chops - don't know how to point this up?? but i have 10 points available for dinner so will keep within that

most ready-made pilau rice is 4pts for 150g - lamb chops are 3pts per 130g raw weight (roughly 1 chop)

so a portion of rice, and 1 chop, will prob be your 10pts, as i think you will need to more or less double the rice quantity, to make a decent main meal

  • Hiya everyone and welldone on your losses so far:j
I have been doing WW now since May and have so far lost 3stone (unfortunately loads to go though:rolleyes:).

I just wanted to clear up some confusion over Quavers. The prawn cocktail ones are 1.5 for a 16g bag (multipack) BUT so are the cheese ones. You need to actually click on the item in the tracker and check the weight as cheese quavers are 3 for a 34g bag.

    Hope that makes sense lol!

    Good luck to all:T

I'm doing quite badly today, dread to think how many points I've had and am not even going to track them. blush.gif

I'll have to have a veeeery light dinner to pull things back.

Thanks for the breakfast and snack tips flea72 - you are a little mine of info, and I will keep them in mind. :) Beans on toast could be doable! :)

plzhelpmesave - WELL DONE on the 3lb loss!!! Thanks also for the snack tips, I am just being a greedy pig. blush.gif Good idea, playing around with points on the tracker and putting together a list of no-go foods.

millymoomoo - WOW and well done on your weight loss, that is amazing. Welcome to the thread! I will go and add you to the first post. Anyone I've left out so far, let me know xo

I know, I snack so much during working hours, it is terrible!!! Weekends are far easier.

Thanks for the tip-off on the WW yogurts, that's great!! :D Must go and get some this evening xoxo

I've made a decision to treat this holiday as a health retreat. That means utterly healthy food all the time (as someone else will be making it, I just need to choose and enjoy), as much fresh fruit and veg as I can manage and lots of exercise. And limited alcohol - this won't be a problem as it'll be too hot to drink much, and anyway on hols I don't like having hangovers. I prefer to be up and about as much as poss and enjoy every minute to the full.

Hopefully I'll come back a few lbs lighter and full of motivation.

I weighed myself this morning. I know I shouldn't! The scales said 134lbs so another 0.4lbs off - probably just fluid (or a big Number 2 lol blush.gif ) but anyway!

I thought that too - I must have been putting them in wrong

I did just put yoghurt in and went through the whole list! It said on the sleeve for the yoghurts that each pot is one ww point or less. I had a raspberry one and ended up putting it down as very low fat yoghurt plain which was 1 point because all the fruit ones were 2 points or more!

Tara...just a thought but have you tried the little weightwatchers cakey things you can buy? I only really like the carrot cake (and they are only 1 point) because I'm not really a cake fan.. but you can get chocolate brownie ones etc...

It might just give you the little bit of naughtiness to satisfy any sweet cravings?!
