Morning Chums ,
thought I was going to have a quiet day today but my DD asked if I would take down to Gillingham for an interview. Its very near to Aldi's so I might have a browse whilst I'm waiting for her.I will try to keep my purse in my pocket as its looking a bit to near to the-end-of-the-month-thinness, and there's not very much needed in my house thank goodness. So it will be just browsing and not buying.Sun has just come out so I shall get the washing on the line as I did it last night so it can go out first thing this morning.Looks like its going to be a lovely autumn day.Must make the most of the sunshine whilst we've got it. Hope everyone has a great day what ever you do

Morning all,
Well yesterday turned out more exciting than I planned. Had a enormous dust storm here that blanketed Qld & further down south. It was fine when I left the house but as the morning progressed the sky got cloudy ( I thought it was a bushfire somewhere at first). By midday it was unbelievable. It was still bad when we arrived home nearly at 7pm. Everything was just covered in reddish dust.
So guess what I've been doing today.
Cleaning, cleaning & more cleaning. DH is helping me do all the screens, windows on the weekend. I'll also have to wash all the curtains but I did the bedding etc today. I can feel grit all over me. Tonight is Eggplant Pasta for tea.
Ruby Everything went well. It was just a routine ultra sound on my thryroid I'm to have every 12 months. Wished it was today. I would have been home yesterday and could have shut the house up.
DH has just informed me he's got a wine poured for me so I'm off. Enjoy your day. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.

Sugar only 53p per bag from costco.
what size bags are they? I was there the weekend (but deliberately didn't nose as to avoid temptation - only spent what I had vouchers for
I have to go again soon to use up some more vouchers so might stock up in the sugar........I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Gosh! I saw Sydney had been turned orange on the news. Sounds alarming Aussie. Enjoy your wine.AussieLass wrote: »Morning all,

Proof reading has been returned to its originator and she was fine about me shredding it for technical errors which I was somewhat concerned about. I have more from someone else now - you can tell it's getting close to thesis deadline day!
We have a visitor coming soon, so I washed all the spare linen.
OH cooked last night so we had fishfinger sandwiches
No idea what is for tea today.
have a good day all, cel xKitchenbunny wrote: »I've just had a cola - bad me, I know - but some mornings are harder than others, and considering I overslept yesterday and was nearly late for work... I deemed it necessary
Not bad at all; cola is usually a part of my breakfast

Hi guys,
I am finally feeling a little better after this bout of whatever it was. Threw in the towel on Monday and saw the GP and he diagnosed a chest infection but the antibiotics seem to be doing their job. He called it an opportunist infection - seems that the original illness damped down the immune system enough for the chest infection to take hold.
Little OS has gone on here allthough I have done bits in fits and starts over the last week or so. The WM is on and there is a bologneise in the SC for tea. The house is a bit dusty and the lawn in dire need of a mow but it can all wait for another few days, the kids are clean tidy and fed and that is the only important thing.
Candygirl, gentle hugs to you and yours, what a dreadful thing to happen to your BIL. xxx
Elona, my condolonces to you on your loss. xx
I hope you all have a good day- hugs to all those who could do with one.

Morning all!
Lovely sunny autumnal day here, smelled of bonfires last night, very season of mists and mellow fruitfulness!
Have stuck coats I washed yesterday out on the line to dry, something had been spilled over 3 coats that had been left in a pile in the hallway, sigh! One was the coat that came as part of the £15 uniform offer from Mr T's, washed well and does seem like I got a real bargain.
Other than that I've made coffee and picked up some rubbish from the sitting room - dd3 was playing schools again! Haribo I think your dd and mine are from the same teacher training college, the kittens were being told that if they couldn't sit still and pay attention then they'd have to go and sit outside the head's office when I left for work last night!
Cleared up kitchen last night, I was not at all happy to find ds had been cooking noodles and stir fry, he'd left a huge mess which is unusual for him, and coffee had been spilled everywhere and the sink was full of pots. Was doubly irritated about the noodles as he'd eaten a vast amount of cottage pie for his dinner - will have to have words about quick snacks for supper, quick noodles, not entire stir fry, cereal, soup or toast! Anyway on the bright side it saved me S&S the kitchen this morn!!!
Was very pleased with dd1, she came home in an exceedingly good mood having been predicted an A in English and a B in maths, yippee! Given that she struggled with maths due to some poor teaching I was really pleased, it's a testament to her hard work. English was something that she had problems with too, she had so many ear infections when tiny that she heard the end of words rather than the start, so found reading difficult, as obviously kids usually recognise a word from the first syllable! I am very proud of her.
dd2 was up extra early this morning, I assumed it was cos she hadn't finished her homework, sadly she doesn't share her big sister's will to do well with her schoolwork, but no, she was doing her hair as it's whole class photos today! Sigh!
Anyhoo, today will involve walking the dog, clearing the dining room some more, probably some washing, definitely some ironing, some sleep hopefully and then off to a bbq at oh's tonight - will be taking some guinness I think in honour of the anniversary (thanks thrifty!)
Lunch for kids was hm cheese pasties, sausage rolls for dd3, choc and orange muffins, plums and apples. No idea about my lunch yet, will have a root in the fridge!
Dinner was meant to be bacon in cheese sauce, but didn't get the joint out of the freezer yesterday! So will be something else, poss hm burgers and wedges as I have some mince in the fridge (bought a double pack from M&S yesterday for cottage pie as had forgotten to get some out of freezer - bit of a theme going here I think!) dd3 doesn't like burgers, so hers will be meatball shaped lol!
Hope everyone has a good day xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning floks :hello:
Hope the clear up goes ok Aussie. Sounds awful. x
Take care of that chest smoky. x
Damp morning here so no painting chicken run until it dries up. Need to clean the bathroom and hoover the hall, stairs and landing and then have more paperwork to get through in the office.
Tea is steak and kidney pie which was made yesterday and rhubarb and plum tart at FIL's request. Just need to sort out the pastry for that.
The fruit bowl is empty again so will pop to Lidl at some point for that and have to pay a few cheques in while I'm down the town.
Off to walk the doggy if I can get her up (she's not a morning person)

Hello,
Hope evryone is ok. Im feeling very down in the dumps and under the weather. Im waiting for the lady who helps me to arrive and Im having my oven cleaned at the moment which is desperate. I cant do it and wouldn't want my kids inhaling that horrible stuff or burning themselves. Costs a load though:eek: but its a good cooker so I think it would be worth it in the long run.
Im feeling despondent because today im officially now not paid by my trust so have to change over all my benefits. Need to phone up and cancel WTC/CTC as my occupational sick pay has finished. Oh its just so much hassle I want to cry
I also have not heard from my manager regarding the shambles of the meeting last Friday. Im also going into hospital tomorrow for treatment.
Well i hope on Saturday I will be feeling happier. Im starting a new course with the aim of helping me come to terms with life with a disability so looking forward to meeting peolpe in a similar position.
Right...getting myself going now with a positive mental attitude!!!!
