Tara - Or very sad! I just like to listen to music in the bath and we don't have a hi-fi, and I think using my mp3 in the bath is a tad worse!
Susan - Possibly, I didn't find them very helpful at all if I'm honest and one nurse was REALLY horrible to me, I was kept in for 5days after having Keira because of a weird smell when she was born (probably staph?) so they had to take swabs from Keira's mouth, and then lost them twice, and said to me "Oh well it's probably not Strep B" Wasn't until I got home and looked up what that was that I knew what they were talking about! That can kill babies and if she HAD had that, and them loosing the swabs twice? Incompetent. Anyways day 3 was really hard for me, I'd have ZERO sleep, I couldn't eat, I felt crap and rubbish, and this nurse was being a total d!ck, tellin me off because Keira hadn't had any milk in over 6hours, well I had been told never to wake a sleeping baby! She didn't have an appetite like me from the morphine I was given during labour. Really insensitive she was. Anyways during the night I STILL Couldn't get any sleep and I was really on the edge, I asked if the nurse would take Keira into the nursery room just so I could get an hours sleep and she was acting like I wanted to throw her down the stairs! Yet she kept taking all the people who had a C-section, babies through to the nursery so they could rest. I HAD A VERY SERIOUS INFECTION (that they didnt know about.....but they would of it they had done the swabs!)....I wasn't FEELING WELL!
Anyways I burst out crying, and when my midwife I had seen during pregnancy came in the next day, I told her if she didn't get me out of this hellhole, I'd just leave and they couldn't stop me, and she got be discharged later on the next day, or maybe they were just sick of me.
Either way, they suck. If I have another, I'm going to the private hospital!!0 -

Is Ed still being sick? Is it worth getting someone to have a look at him? He seems to have been ill for a while now...
Hubby's extended family keep requesting to be my friend on FB. I don't really care but it is a bit strange that his cousin who I have met once (and he didn't invite to our wedding) wants to be my friend!!
No sick this morning, I think I know what it is but the nurse we saw for his jabs on ues wasn't interested and the HV we saw just after blamed teething  Anyhoo as I say I think I know now I realised that most of the sick incidents were when he'd fed of a very full breast so guessing that its to do with the way he can't latch quite as well and or that the milk flows too fast/is a bit different??
On hols he fed more often in the night but didn't like to feed while out and about in the day (he'd have just enough to stave off his hunger but refused to have a full feed:rolleyes:) so the early evening feed was off a rather full boobie and now we're home its been the morning feed that he's been sick after and he's been sleeping longer.
so I've decided to wait for my supply to settle with the less night feeding rather than express to empty the booby, I was noticably less full this morning and he fed better and no sick after a good burp so fingers crossed that it is the reason and its settling now.
Goodness what a long reply
Susan - can I ask why you are planning to get a double pump, 6 bottles etc? is it a just in case strategy or do you plan to express so OH can bottle feed?
Ps. MFD OH has loads of cousins we never see that wanted to be my friend, I let them so they could see photos as OH only puts up the odd one but I drew the line at his cousins new husband who I've met once and did NOT likethat side of OH's family are a bit common (:o shhh I know I'm a snob) so I've 'hidden' them because I don't appreciate status updates full of expletives showing in my news feed everyday!!!

Hi all,
Sorry, not had time to catch up. You were very talkative yesterday and I tried to keep up reading, but had to give up in the end!
Had a strange couple of days. Holly wouldn't settle at all the other day unless we were swinging her in her car seat or in our arms. So we went and purchased the Fisher Price swing, and it's great! She loved it. So we had 1 day of absolute bliss. She was back to her normal self and I could put her in the swing to get things done for 10 mins etc.
But yesterday, was a different story. She would only go to sleep on my shoulder or chest and seemed really disturbed in her sleep. She is rubbing her face like mad and eating her fist etc. Not sure what's going on.
Anyway, she is getting restless now, but at least I have been up and showered (didn't even manage that yesterday!) so going to get her fed and changed and head to Mothercare. Think she needs some new sleepsuits and vests in 0-3 as we ran out yesterday so I ended up doing washing at midnight. Don't want to do that again when I am shattered!!!
Hope you are all well. Sorry for the long post. Will keep reading for the next hour whilst she feeds, but probably won't post much as typing one handed is doing my head in!!!! Hugs to all. xx0 -

i kick OH when he snores. HARD! he should count himself lucky you're not me!!
I tell him everyday he is lucky to have me
I let Benjamin 'eat' his own framage frais this morning with his own spoon and the fromage frais in a incredi-bowl. He enjoyed the experience but I am not convinced that he ate much!! Was much fun trying to clean him up!!
Best take this baby for a nap before he drives me mad trying to turn the sky box off!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
morning all!!
hope everyone and their lo's are well today.
DH gone back to work phew... its been lovely having him around but he does like to pick Kian up for any reason where as i leave him whimpering to see if it develops into a major crying session. and yesterday wheni really needed his help as we had an explosive nappy....he went to the bathroom and only came out when Kian was all clean, bathed and changed into clean clothes.... men!!
baby milk- when Kian wasnt feeding in the hospital they gave me aptamil to use,(he couldnt latch, and needed food) so that is what i have continued to use. if the hospital had given me a choice i would have used cow & gate. cos thats what my mum used for brother and sister.
got some bonus bonds today in post, think they are from a survey site i use but cant see which one. is £10 but will go in the pot for xmas. due to get my love2shop vouchers in next couple weeks.
what are peeps buying their little ones for xmas??'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0
