Thank you weezl! Its nice to hear that you think that and I'm not just big headidly (is that a word?!) thinking I'd be good at it :)

question: I have a toddler in UNDERPANTS :D How often do I get him to sit on the potty just in case? I was thinking every 20mins :undecided:

Just had a phone call from HR who have unearthed yet another loophole, which makes the money come without the line manager having to agree to kit days!

Really trepidous about believing it, til I get written confirmation, but another quiet :j:j:j from me.

I love HR departments! I love everyone who works in HR (you listening elle?;))

We don't hear that very often, trust me :p

I've just been thinking too.. what are they doing about your holidays? Will they pay them up or are you taking them between mat leaves? :)

Jillie - I though it was collections one day, deliveries another?? or maybe in was a non union postie/one of the many temps

dunno. i just presumed that everyone involved with sorting and delivering of mail was on strike.
maybe non-union member.thought you werent meant to cross a picket line though...

all very confusing. the vouchers i received this morning were by courier.

  • poor Chris!

I'm trying to potty train Charlie and he's really good as long as he's not really distracted by his toys, tv etc! Says wow when he's done a wee on the potty, and oh no wet if he didn't make it, so cute! Although he's lazy and will wet himself rather than try to take his pants down by himself. But if he's got nothing on he'll hold it until he sits on the potty.

However since he had a runny bottom (not even going to try to spell it!) a few weeks ago number 2's are a complete nightmare!! Even if he wearing a nappy he screams the house down. Everytime he farts (a lot cos he's holding it all in!) he says stinker which makes us laugh but when we put him on the toilet/potty for a no. 2 he sobs and calls out to us. It breaks my heart & makes me cry to hear him and he does it whether i'm sitting with him or not. I don't know what to do for him, any ideas or suggestions most welcome!!

So close to saying stuff it all, put him back in nappies and hopefully he'll work it out by himself before he goes to school!

I picked up my NVQ level 3 certificate in childcare, learning and development and yet I can't seem to help Charlie, makes me feel so useless!

I think that's the loophole... they can't pay me in lieu of leave (not their policy) to tip me over SMP threshold, but they can start me back on payrol on 26th october, pay me during my leave as per usual and then start my Maternity leave a bit earlier.

    Seems good. :)

Is that what you were thinking too? Great minds think alike!

Looking at the time elapsed between your two poats sami I'm thinking you're gonna have to sit him on every 4 mins!

Maybe he could just sit on it all day with a good book?

    Sounds like my DH :rotfl:
