can i ask another question about cots?????

    do you have/use a dropside???

DS & DD1 had a drop side cot - but i didn't use the dropside much as it made too much noise putting it up, it woke them anyway!

DD2 has the cheapo ikea one and we've not had any problems. I can just about bend enough to put her down asleep (i'm 5'7") - but she usually goes down a little bit awake.
I can just about squeeze my arm through the bars just enough to pop her dummy in in the night if I need to.

    MFD Drop the mattress!
Ours was on the high level until a couple of weeks ago. After a week of saying to OH, [STRIKE]we[/STRIKE] you need to drop that mattress this week, continuously, we woke one morning to find her standing, with one leg over the top! (The cot was up against the bed so she'd have only fell on me - but if she'd decided to climb up the other side :o).
That was the first time she'd managed to climb - and she'd not shown any signs of doing it before.

Weezl: selfish I know but I'd rather get all the money from selling stuff :o Charity begins at home ;)
But you usually have to pay a fee whatever way you sell it (eBay, carboot, classified ads) so depending on the % you pay it could be more profitable that way.

The thanks button has randomly disappeared from some posts.

I gave her Ashton & Parsons powder on a spoon and she calmed down.

Why oh why have I never thought of giving them on a spoon!! I even asked a question on here about how others managed to get them into baby's mouth once!!
    It's the simple things :D
A&P powders on a spoon - mookie you are a genious!!!

Oh - Izzy learnt to clap at nursery this week. Cutest thing ever!

Great mind think alike ladybird! Pity we didn't think about using a spoon months ago!

    Good luck with the interview.

    Yay for clappy baby!

Benjamin was awake 5 times between 12.30am and 6.30am - you can imagine how happy I am this morning

At about 3.30am I put Benjamin back in bed (again!) and Hubby was snoring, I gave him a little stoke to stop him and he snapped 'I REALLY wish you hadn't done that!!!' he was nearly battered to death with my bedside lamp!

Yesterday Chris was a bit upset with Edgar because he wanted to bake cakes but we have no eggs and I said we couldn't go to tesco because Ed is still being sick. After me explaining that he couldn't help being ill he decided to try and trick me saying to Edgar "you're ok now Edgar? Yes ok we go to tesco now, Edgar better" :p

hugs and  my OH would take that to mean cuddles were in order, he has this weird auto pilot setting that whenever he has any non violent body contact in his sleep he gets all handsy - I guess we all know what kind of dreams he usually has!

I was very tired and crabby - I am not sure how gentle my stroking was!!!

Is Ed still being sick? Is it worth getting someone to have a look at him? He seems to have been ill for a while now...

Hubby's extended family keep requesting to be my friend on FB. I don't really care but it is a bit strange that his cousin who I have met once (and he didn't invite to our wedding) wants to be my friend!!
