Evening ladies... Excuse me for just jumping in and not Reading anything that has happened today... Have just had a very wierd half hour with Caitlyn...

She was in bed but woke up about 12... Hubby bought her down to me and I fed her on the sofa... She was very happy when we came up to bed, I fed her again lying in bed but she was just messing about and clawing me so I put her in the cot... As soon as she wentdown she let out an enormous wail and went absolutely inconsolable! Nothing calmed her down, no feeding, rocking or nappy changing... We resorted to calpol... 1 sachet spread about her face and chest later... A little cuddle with daddy and some rocking off mummy and she's perfectly happy in the cot... Had a little chat to herself, a grunt and a shuffle and now she's dropping off to sleep...

I can't feel any teeth... I'm still in denial about teething... I don't know what it was!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hi Krystal:o

I havent been to bed yet but will be going shortly. Leila did something similar to Caitlyn yesterday. She just wailed and wailed (in addition to lots of arm flailing and some sobbing into my shoulder). She never normally cries so I was in a bit of a panic. I gave her Ashton & Parsons powder on a spoon and she calmed down. She was also up at about 12:30am and didnt go back to sleep until 2am. Now, I felt what seemed like a hard lump in the bottom middle of her gum last week and I thought I caught a glimpse of white. Its still there, although I thought it had gone yesterday so it could be a tooth but what do I know!!??

I'm tootling to bed now. Hope Caitlyn (and all other babies) have a good nights sleep. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • A&P powders on a spoon - mookie you are a genious!!!

Morning all. I've not caught up on anything since the weekend, so I hope everyone is ok. Busy busy week in work this week, but now it's over (hoorah for getting that friday feeling on a Wednesday ;) ). Today we are off to feed the ducks and meeting Granny at rhyme time, then I'm leaving Granny in charge, as I'm off to an interview. Wish me luck! I'm not prepared at all, so going to have a peek on the internet and re-read the job description this morning and hope for the best. Never mind!

Oh - Izzy learnt to clap at nursery this week. Cutest thing ever!

    Do I:
    a) Drop the cot mattress now?
    b) Wait a while because he is not (yet) showing any signs of standing (and it would probably be quite a tricky manouever in a sleeping bag)?
    c) Only put the baby to sleep when he is already asleep for a while?

I'd drop it now MFD, it probably only makes for a couple of weeks extra bending, and that'll never be as bad as one of those scary moments we've all had:eek:;)

we started off on c&g cos OH liked the box compared to the others (??) which made him a bit constipated, then i decided to be MSE and try hipp, which gave poor little man the farts and made him scream for two days, then i got aptamil after you lovely ladies recommended it and he was fine on that. but then when he was weaned i put him back on c&g cos i figured i may as well save the £1 a box seeing as his system wasnt quite so delicate any more! he now has the c&g follow on

really similar to you em, tried the cheaper ones, had grizzles, went to aptamil, and now on the cheapest follow on each time- hipp was a £5 but now it's heinz nurture :)

drop side cots and lowering mattresses: our real cot does both I think, but we use a travel cot all the time cos the leg thwacking was so loud in the wooden cot that the neighbours could hear:eek::rotfl:

comedians: I'm a big eddie izzard fan and we have tickets on 6th nov for our 10th wedding anniversary treat :)

Sorry, just remembered a couple more things:

NCT nearly new sales: The website is a bit confusing, so I can work out that the seller gets some and the charity gets some of the proceeds from the sale, but can anyone tell me more exactly how this is split? I don't want to give away loads of clothes and get a 5% return on a 50p an item pricing structure!

susan: in the light of my work badness, I'm thinking about budget for baby 2 quite seriously. I remember you were kind enough to post a linkie to your calculations for second baby, but I can't seem to find it now. Is there any chance you could re-post it? Thanks :)

    Special message for Rhys:

    Dear Rhys,

The fairies are very sad and sorry but they are having to fly a little slower this week because some bad ogres called 'Royal Mail strikes' are fighting with them. They will win the battle and bring the handsome prince his cube at the end of their adventure.

Love from Auntie MSE Weezl x
