Not keeping up with this again so hugs to all that need them.
I was out this morning for work in a city centre and arrived too early for a job so popped into the Tesco Metro. Had a points voucher from the Wine Club that needed using up and I needed a few bits of groceries. The checkout lady felt my bottle of wine and noted it wasn't chilled and said they had some in a fridge if I wanted a cold one to drink now. It was 9.30am in the morning
I was wearing smart jeans, heeled boots, pink fitted blouse and a black chunky knit cardy and thought I looked reasonably tidy and not like an alcho. I was quite offended but not sure if I'm over reacting or notHere I go again on my own....0 -

she is doing good glam. little isaac got out of hospital last sunday, and e got to see him on tues evening. he is beautiful n looks just like his mummy!
my friend is, i think, a little overwhelmed at everything, she was just telling me today she feels as if she doesnt get time to do anything but feed, change, sterilise etc. i explained that i does feel like that sometimes, but once you get a routine sorted it makes things easier! she lives 45mins drive away from us, so is hard to get to meetup as often as we would like!Carla-Farla!!

Sorry beccles but :rotfl:, but I wouldn't have been amused if she'd had said it to me.
Oh I didn't update on this morning. I actually like this little clinic, although it is on a tad too early for me
There were 3 HVs in today and all were really impressed that Liam was following them, smiling at them and shouting his little head off. He was obviously trying to woo the ladiesAnd he has fantastic head control. They couldn't get over he was only 10 weeks.
One HV was cooing over him whilst I was getting him dress. She said Mummy obviously doesn't do the housework because you can tell she spends all her time playing with you! I should have replied I do bothbut I just smiled and beamed with pride inside.
(Just don't tell them Liam is currently in his bouncy chair, watching music vids, looking like he's trying to escape, whilst Mum catched up on here and eats soup)
And he now weighs 10lb 13oz :eek:0 -
At least he changes wet ones - OH has done 1 and that was cos I was out and Jack was crying. I said to him yesterday 'You've onyl changed one' and he had the check to lie to my face and say 'Nah, I've done loads' (I think I would know!)
he's only just started to change them, took a lot of me saying please...
He's a sod for holding him and saying 'I think his nappies a bit full' (I'm a bad mummy and sometimes forget to change him) From now on, he will get 'Oh, can you change it then please?'
i did that and it worked...
I think the more he does, the more Jack will respond to him - that way he won't moan when Jack cries for him and stops for me
thats what i said when he moaned that kian doesnt feed well for him or settle... the more you do it the more he gets used to it and will relax for you. jack and kian are used to mummy they just need to get used to daddy too.
oh is painting sitting room as i type cos of my section i cant stretcth/too much for me to do'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
nms - what was liams birth weight?
yay for good head control :j - Jack hold his head up quite well which is good til he headbutts me!
carla - glad ur friend & lo are ok
jillie - i think the problem stems from the fact I had an easy labour & was back on my feet doing everything straightaway so OH is used to it. it was easier when jack slept lots but harder now he's awake more
ETA - next time I'll stay in bed for the first week & get him running around!!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
keely i hope you get your neighbours sorted soon, i would have been terrified at someone waving a knife about but did laugh at him stipping and jumping in the pond
MFD if i have jinxed the sleeping then i will cry lol!!
well they have been out and tbh i dont think they have helped? she made out that everything is fine, yes he is hyper but he is a little boy and went over ADHD? i havent had time to talk it through with OH but right now i just feel that she thought i was a crap mum who didnt play with him enough as when the HV sat on the floor beside him he happily played with the potato heads rather than throw them at erin. they did pick up on him having to put everything in his mouth though. we have another app in nov and she said she would carry on with home visits for us even though she doesnt do them. am a bit confused to be honest? What's for you won't go past you0 -
