Will see what I can do ;) How long are you away for?

*hugs* Glam! I agree with Sami, a strike is in order.. Forgive me for being blunt, but is he jealous of Jack? Sounds like attention seeking and strops because you have someone else to focus your attention on now

Am going out in a min.. off to the seaside with girls from Accounts :) Cancelled seeing two friends yesterday cos I didn't feel good so have got to go today! :o Will give OH chance to sleep at least - he'll be leaving work soon, will probably pass him driving out our road :)

glam, I hope this isn't a naughty thing to say but I'm feeling all:mad: with your DH!

Sorry, cos he's obviously lovely or you wouldn't be with him, but sounds like he's having a funny five minutes!:D

Do you think he's lost his way a bit with not working?

Men sometimes get a lot of self-worth from having jobs and earning. Just wondered if he was a bit down or something. (trying to be compassionate instead of jumping to conclusions here!)

Sami hello! You asked how all the groups were going... Generally well, but the tuesday one will be a labour of love. Fergie can't sleep at it, cos his pram isn't allowed in the room and there are 6 bright fluorescent strip lights above him, so he was a bit thrown.

I found the ladies really nice, but my lack of arabic and head covering made me stick out a bit.

It also made me reflect how even positive comments which draw attention to race can feel a bit excluding. There was a few 'oh so lovely and pale!' type comments about fergus. It was nice to get compliments. But I felt our differences a lot :o.

Are you all better from your colds now at chez sami?

Not having a job is making him bored and thus cranky, I think he's finding it hard to adjust to not being able to just do stuff without planning first. I think he thought it would be just like before Jack was born.
He came out with a classic last night - 'Just think, when we go visiting family you won't have to do anything for Jack coz everyone will hold him for you.'
Um, when I'm at other people's houses I havent got ten ton of washing or cleaning to do so that doesnt help!

His mum did everything for him when he was at home but since he's lived with me (for almost 9 years) he knows he has to do his share but it's not 50-50.

Earlier, he said I cant say I cook cos all I do is reheat the batch cooking! But I tried to explain that I'd done the batch cooking in the first place! He then said 'Well, I don't understand your batch cooking so can't do it'

I don't want him to cook (cos he can't) but he could hold Jack for half an hour while I do it!

After half term he is starting his teaching work experience so that will get him focused on something & out of my hair and hopefully we can get into a routine cos right now all he wants to do is eat, sleep and do weights!

Sami - could you "forget" the dummies but then magically find them if things get really desperate :D

Glam - another one feeling  at your OH. Has he always been like this or is it just since Jack arrived?? Does he just need things spelling out to him?? As the other girlies have said, go on stike. Haul you and Jack up to bed, stick the telly on, forget about making his tea and forget about the house work. Just enjoy the Mummy cuddles :)

ETA: we crossed posts. Sounds like you need to sit him down and point these things out.

Another idea, could you try giving him options? like do you want to put tea on or play with Jack?
