ladybird - I found the voucher for the 6 month bounty pack in one of the bounty bags the mw brought out... either the hosptal overnight bag or the new baby one... I am not sure which one as the mw opened up both of them to see what was inside :rotfl:0

Morning ladies.
I have discovered that pineapple is not an acceptable breakfast fruit
Benjamin has toast or porridge, some fruit and 1 or 2 fromage frais. This morning I only had pineapple which he has had before... but not in any quantity. It was only after he had eaten a load that I remembered that it is quite acidic and eating lots of it makes your mouth feel funny
I stopped when I realised but he has now been sick several times (not big sick, just little gloopy ones) mostly on the carpet and promptly crawling through it _pale_ He seems fine but I am holding off on his morning nap.chopsticks wrote: »MFD - what will do you when you run out of your frozen stocks? Will Benjamin be one by then?
He won't be one but he can always have formula during the daytime (I will be at work) I don't think I plan on expressing during the day whilst working...although having half an hour to 'rest' during the day is quite tempting.
I feel like I have done my bit with regard to BF. I will continue to BF for now because it suits us but I am coming to terms with the fact that we will be stopping at some point not too far away. My boobs don't get engorged anymore, even when I am away from Benjamin for 8 hours so I kind of feel that things are all heading in the right direction.
When they start to eat chips and cheese sandwiches you get a bit less precious about the type of milk that they drink!!!feelinggood wrote: »About EBM - I read up to 12 months in a proper freezer, but I go by the 'if it tastes alright' its fine. This weekend, I had to take 4 litres to my Mums as I ran out of space. I've got about 7 litres in total, and get about 150-300ml a day, when I pump. I'm scared of running out though.
I thought Toby wouldn't take a bottle anymore? What on earth are you going to do with all that milk!!! He will be having booby milk porridge for his 21st birthday!!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

Emergency - I put bread into the bread maker this morning cause I have friends coming round for lunch. I just discovered the stirer thing is still on the drainin board, so I have a load of hot flour and burnt wallpaper paste in the bread maker and no bread. And my friends will be here in 10 mins! Time for some kind of emergency pasta/couscous preparation I think.
So lets start a bet - no I have to rush around doing that how many seconds before Izzy wakes up

I'd be wary! is there anyway you can get your pup checked over by your vet before you hand over all your money?astonsmummy wrote: »Ooh got to go, got an appointment down the school with the doc and senco for Aston, will be bck on later.
Also one of the pups in the litter we are getting has had a prob with her back legs and died, i'm a bit dubious now as to what to do....i'm sure the breeder wouldnt sell us the dog if she wasnt ok, the pup that died was actually the one she was going to keep.
Its common for not all pups to survive but I don't see how a problem with back legs would cause a pup to die :undecided and I can't think of anything that would affect both unless it was just a weak puppy. How old are they now?
Only 9mths ish until I get a doggy!! :j(don't tell hubby :silenced:)
I've reserved the processor
double voucher back if I get it before sunday :T 0 -

No help to offer - just laughing about how we have an 'emergency' and tell the ladies on here about it before actually dealing with it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I can't shake my worry off about not having enough milk. It was such a battle, that I still worry I'll run out! I've got about 8 days worth, so if something happened to me, he could still have EBM until alternate arrangements were made. 4 litres is in 100ml containers, but the rest is in icecubes, so will be used for cereals, or in any cooking for LO that contains milk.
I also read that it isn't uncommon to become unresponsive to the pump as time goes on, so I'm making the most of being able to build a stash.
My main goal is for him to only have breastmilk until 6 months, so I think I'll feel a bit more comfortable when I've got enought EBM to get us there (8 days!).
I want LO to have a small amount of EBM in his diet until he is two.Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
cous cous on to soak itself cooked.
Sami, that is the food processor I have, and it is great. I don't use half the attachments though - I've never used it for chopping/grating stuff, although I'm sure I would if I was cooking for more people. My favourite bit is the beater attachment. When you make a cake you can just bung all the ingredients in and switch it on for a bit - much easier

do you know what the model number is? my only concern is that it's not listed and I'm worried it's because it's not good (although I think it's fine as got loads of reveiws all but one are 4 or 5 out of 5)0 -
Ladyb, I use readybrek and weetabix with a dash of flavoured baby cereal for extra taste and eventually wean so that Poppy now has it on its own.
In our area, we have an 8m check by the HV and are given the first BookStart cloth bag with a few books, Tommee Tippee cup and child toothbrush and 'proper adult' toothpaste. I use the child type even though its not recommended in our area.
The coupon for the 6m Bounty bag was in a booklet in one of the Bounty bags given to me in hospital by the MW.
