This is why I'm !!!!!! off that I'm not allowed to be a HV  you have to have previously worked as a nurse or MW first - why?!?!
I don't know of any other career that works like that??
I KNOW I could do it but I also KNOW I could never be a nurse or MW (I don't 'do' needles or blood, or putting my hand up foofs!!:rotfl:)
I would be a lovely HV, the kind that you all want :D
I was told by a surestart worker the other day that you can become a health visitor with a nursery nurse qualification now... Might be worth looking into...
Susan - do I take it you don't stick to the 3 months in the freezer rule?
Sami already mentioned it's 6 months now... If you fancy one of the magnets the fairies sent to Sami then I could probably get them to hand one over to you in person...

I had one like that... Gave it to my Mum in the end because it took too much space up on my work surface and very rarely got used... I prefer my hand blender and electric whisk...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

morning. Ladybird - my LO loves the Hipp organic banana and peach porridge, but at £2.xx a tiny packet I don't! I've been trying to wean her off it using readybrek. I'm up to 1/3 Hipp porridge, 2/3 readybrek and make it up with full fat milk. I've tried fruit purees in readybrek and mashed banana in readybrek but she's not having any of it! This way, a Hipp porridge packet can last 2 weeks :D

Am I allowed a small 'bragging moment?' My little girl has been toddling around using her push along! All without me! I'm so proud and a bit scared that she's growing up so fast all at the same time! She's almost 8 months and I didn't think she'd quite be at this stage by now. All she wants to do is be on her feet scooting around with me or her push along although she hasn't worked out how to go sideways around the furniture - yet!!!

today we are off to visit friends so less opportunity for practice and more opportunity for me to eat tea and cake. Yippeeee!

3 - working for that little doesn't seem worth it to me. If you want to stay at home that makes financial sense to me, but if you are looking for something to get you out of the house, it's also an option.

I had signed up for a cookery class and it started on tuesday. However, they overbooked and even though I was 20mins early for class I was the first to miss the cut off point and got turned away :( I was looking forward to having 2-3 hrs of 'me' time I actually cried about it when I got home :( Oh well. Trying to find something else instead - but they aren't other regular classes - only whole day, one-off classes. Oh well, that's life sometimes!
