My calls to 03336669805 (Lucie) & 03336669807 (Kandy Rain - don't ask!) show on my Virgin Mobile account as costing £0.00 and have been deducted from my inclusive call minutes.
So it is free (obviously if you have an inclusive deal), and in the same way as if you ring the premium rate number you have no way of knowing if it really registers. But who cares, you get the fun of voting for free!
I have also just tried again and it is still working. So either very few people have used these lines or they haven't cut off after 10,000 votes like they should?
Also I never heard an advert, just a message about how to contact them and that the X Factor vote part will not be charged.I am an Accountant. Thanks billysew - i thought that might be it.
This seems like it is working folks, lots of reports of calls to these numbers just using up inclusive minutes. Apparently 5000 votes have been used so far.
One thing we are already speaking to free2call about is the exact wording of the message; I found it a tad confusing myself when I first called, as it isn't totally clear which part of the call it is referring to when it says 'this part'. However, they have again reassured that the calls are free, and people's experiences seem to be backing this up
Hope your favourites get through!

The wording means that you will not be charged for the forwarded call to the voting line, you will however be charged by you supplier for the call to the 03 number unless you have inclusive minutes (which you have already paid for in your package). I.e. I pay an extra £5 per month to get unlimited free landline calls. Hope thats clear now.The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.0

well obviously not enough of you are ringing back again and again as there are STILL calls left (well were when I last did some up till 6.55pm - having destroyed my cordless landline I then bought a corded one which doesn't reach lounge & I'm watching the show now). I've made about 100 calls split between Lucie & Jamie who are my 2 faves. Those of you voting for the vile twins should be ashamed of yourselves... Ronan Keating is absolutely right they somehow have NO chemistry (probably cos too busy concentrating on self not "group" lol). Given that 100 is about 1% of total available - how few people have actually used this? put a note up on my facebook now (last night expected they would quickly be gone so didn't want to advertise too widely and do myself out of a vote lol!)
First few calls when it first opened last night I had to call 3 times then through (i.e. engaged tone first 2 times dialled), 4 times then through, 6 times then the transfer to X factor didn't work, 3 times then thro then it was 1 or 2 times then through. About 4 or 5 calls failed the transfer to X Factor (got a call ended tone instead) in total, I repeated those so I made about 105 calls in total so a pretty good success rate I reckon.0 -
You got a good deal. According to Tesco's website it should be 20p per minute for UK landlines. (Although I guess it only lasts around 30 seconds)...

Tesco PAYG have more then one tariff. Might be on this one.:D

Voted yesterday 11/10 using my O2 moby (01,02, and 03 numbers are included in monthly allowance). Checked my bill and sure enough the number appears as just another land line call. Think I'll be voting again this week.;)0

I voted on Sunday, and it worked for me! I used my mobile though, but only got charged 10p per call. Very quick and easy, the advert only lasted about 10-20 seconds, and then I immediately got put straight through to the XF voting number. Will definately be using this again next week.0
