Edited to add - didn't see Zippy's post above - so might well be nationwide -worth a check in your local Boots maybe

Hi Girls, this is one of the best inventions yet. Have been using mine for just about 18months, and would not even consider going back. Now I'm having to work on getting my 12 year old to try as she is costing me a fortune in sanitary wear!!!!! It's not just the environment its helping but saving a fortune and also a lot of space in the cupboard!Sarah x0

Its nice to hear so many of you having a go with this as i stumbled across it a couple of years back while I was looking at eco friendly alternatives to tampons and sanitary towels. I must admit, I had to persevere but it is worth it, not only for the eco and cost factors but it is cleaner IMO and I feel a sense of freedom in that I don't have to carry loads of pads around with me. It took a while to trust it not to leak but I have cut the stick off the end completely and no looking back, its great!0

hi
I've had my oh muttering on for ages about mooncups and thought i'd see what all the fuss is about.
well it looks as though i'm going to have to buy one now, been looking on ebay and they are about £17 the boots website are selling them for £19.99, not sure if i'll have time to go in store and get one as we are going away at weekend, but can anyone reccomend a place that maybe cheaper online?
Thanks

I've been using a mooncup for about 18 months thanks to this site and I think it's brilliant. If you find you're having trouble to begin with, do persevere. It took me about 8 months to get used to inserting and removing it but I've now got it down to a fine art!
One tip; if you need to change it in a public toilet, go in the disabled one if there is one cos there is a handy sink by the toilet.0 -
Oh I haven't told my other half I'm using a mooncup, think he'd be a bit disgusted. He's not bad about womens stuff, lol. He just doesn't want to know too much! lol0

Been trying for months!
I'm totally behind the idea of them, but in practice, I'm not so sure.

I have been reading all these posts about the mooncup and I`m off to Boots in the morning for one.
These have gotta be better than tampons,I always get loads of fibres from them stuck up there and in the end spend 5 mins raking around trying to grab them out,Disgusting I know.
I am hoping it`s like the inserting the contaceptive Cap.I did try this once and managed to get it in and out with no problems.
I am slightly worried incase it gets stuck in and I cant get it out but I`m more than willing to try it.
How do you ladies store it? I dont want to sterilize it then end up shotting in me knicker draw.I suppose I could use a little air sealed tub??
I`m soooooo pleased i came accross this thread cos I`m on my 2nd day of my period and are gunna try it straight away.
I shall post how I get on with it.Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
Cant find these in our local Boots. Have tried ordering from Snazzy pants where they are £12.99, but have not had confirmation of order since Monday. This seems a bit slow for a web based company. Has anyone else used this co.?0

Hi superdog, I also bought from snazzypants on Monday and didn't get confirmation so phoned. Order had been received and dispatched with receipt in the package. She said my email hadn't been in the order - I do remember entering it so perhaps they have a problem with the site and the same has happened with you. However if you phone they are friendly and seem genuine and helpful so I don't think there's anything to worry about. I'll let you know when I get the package.0
