Thanks Haffiana, I always understood the holes were important, but I must have been wrong.

It doesn't seem to matter where I put the mooncup when I insert it, it moves depper by itself... maybe this is the problem?

Well, if it is moving by itself it should be moving to the right place. It should lie almost horizontal rather than vertical (actually approx 45 degree angle). Can you feel your cervix inside it if you run a finger around it?

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe you are using a small size when you need a large. It isn't because of the capacity, but simple mechanics - a large one is far more likely to sit in the right place whereas a small one, with a small rim can site itself more easily in the wrong place, ie next to your cervix rather than around it.
  • After using mine for 6 years I reluctantly had to upgrade to the A size recently. Over the past year the times I couldn't get the seal right became more and more frequent until this month where I didn't manage it once!! So off to Boots to buy the bigger size. (I'm 31 btw, no babies yet).
This actually upset me more than the grey hairs and the tummy that just won't shift no matter how much exercise I do. Wah I'm getting old!!
So anyway, anyone finding they just can't get the seal right, especially if they've managed it no problems in the past, it might be time to upgrade.
Everyone else, keep doing those Kegels!!
