Just to let others know. https://www.underthegooseberrybush.co.uk sell the mooncup for £17 including p&p. This is the cheapest I have found without buying 3 from boots.
Right, I am off now to order mine! The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0 -
It arrived this morning. Been too busy with freecycle to try it. Wish me luck! The best bargains are priceless!!!!!!!!!! :T :T :T0

just had my first few days with mine - i love it! true you have to be comfortable with your body, but its more comfortable than sweaty (ick) towels and drying tampons, and no need to be running round trying to find a bin0

I want to try this mooncup but am a bit scared, I hate towels and tampons as I never seem to feel clean and always feel really smelly:eek:
Is there anywhere to buy it cheap, cos £20 seems a lot if I don't get on with it.:undecided
I have also heard about people who have the reusable towels, but I really don't like the sound of that:huh:
I know people have already asked these q's but I though someone might be able to give me some up to date info
Thank youProud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -
Hey angeluk
I'd say don't be scared of it. As i said i've only just started using mine and i love itNone of the icky smelly feeling (though you do have to be comfortable with blood to use a mooncup... however its not icky-exposed-to-the-air blood).
There isn't anywhere really cheap unfortunatly. I got mine off ebay for £15.99 plus 1.50 postage (from here, and that seems about the cheapest. You just have to take a jump i guess. I think most people *do* get on with it after a day or two of practise.
In my experience, it hasn't leaked, you only really feel it for the first day or two, putting it in only takes a couple of practises, and cleaning isn't a problem - just wipe out with loo roll if you're in a public place.
I've thought about reusable towels too, only thing putting me off that is housesharing so nowhere to soak the things0 -
Thank you lightisfading for the link and the advice, I am going to look into getting one of these, now heres a really silly question, does anyone else want one cos boots have them on 3 for2 and surely it would be a bit cheaper to buy the 3 and split for anyone else who wants one. As we could spilt the cost between 3 of us.
Just thought it would be a help to someone. Or am I making a bad sugestionProud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -
angeluk69 If you see my earlier post, I found the mooncup for £17 including p & p. This is the cheapest I found after many searches. https://www.underthegooseberrybush.co.uk the service was really good. I got emails telling me the stutus of my order and it arrived really quickly.

Don't need this stuff anymore - hooray. But saw in a health food shop sponge tampons which are reusable. So if the mooncup is not to your liking maybe these would be the answer.

The key seems to be to relax when inserting and use your muscles to help seal it and then again later to take it out. Wore a pad with it for safety but didn't need it (even overnight).
I'm sure my oh must be getting bored (not to mentioned grossed out) with reports on progress everytime i go to the bathroom
he didn't realise quite how much blood there was!!!
sorry peeps and esp blokes!!!
He says to me now, "got your cup in?!"!! when it's "that time" :rotfl:
