  • I've always used tampons. Never had any problem.

I've got two children, yes. It definitely isn't right for me, it literally slips out it's so low. You know when you're giving birth and you feel the baby's head crowning?

    Yeah, it's like that.

    :o

    Not right!

    oooh errrr!

It ought to sit just above the ring of muscles which is your pelvic floor. If it slips out regardless then I would worry that you pelvic floor isn't as strong as it could be which can cause problems in later life. Mooncup aside, it's worth finding out more about your pelvic floor area and how you can strengthen it.

  • No, no worries in the pelvic floor area, and I do my PF exercises every day. According to the Mooncup advice lady, who's a nurse apparently, having a low cervix isn't connected to the strength of my pelvic floor.

Know what you mean though, it is a bit ooo-err!

Try putting it in slightly higher/further than you wouldexpect to (I've cut the stem off completely now and push it down to get it to the right place for me to be able to break the seal, if I put it in a teeny bit lower it's not right and any stem left makes it uncomfortable

After trawling every local Boots, asking every sales assistant to double check via the till, could not find the 3-for-2 offer anywhere!!
Got home and decided to check MC's website again and they've changed the dates of the offer (I thought hubby had made a mistake but he copied and pasted it from the website!).

Anyway, here's new dates, as copied and pasted again from MC's website:-

"From Wednesday 16th August until Tues 12th September Boots are offering 3 items for the price of 2 on all feminine hygiene products. This means that you can buy 3 Mooncups for less than £40!"

Sorry everyone, especially if you've been visiting Boots and looking all over for the offer! It was posted in good faith. Here's hoping they dont change the dates again or I'll have gone through the menopause before I get my MC!!!!

I'm hoping to partake in the 3 for 2 offer if I can and save a fiver. Have been using washable pads almost for the past year but this might be even better if I can pluck up the courage :D No doubt I will be on here asking questions once do I get my hands on one!
