Problems with New RBS/Natwest/Ulsterbank Visa Debit Cards

the "Visa Charge" is charged by RBS because the transaction is being routed via the Visa Plus system rather than Link, as far as I am aware there is no interchange fee for this, and even if there were, it would not be even remotely close to what your bank charges you.

I received my new Visa Debit card from Natwest yesterday. Can anyone tell me if it works with Amazon and Lovefilm.

yes it will, but you might get charged an additional £1.25 per transaction on Amazon. Same on Paypal or anywhere that doesn't process the transactions in the UK.

Yes i got charged £1.50 with my halifax visa debit card for a item i bought in poland on a online shop shop001media i think it's called.

The only thing likely to change things (ie Visa charges) is some sort of Facebook protest like the one HSBC were faced with regarding student overdraft charges.

But the truth is until anything changes you have no choice of card and the charges are 'correct' whether agreed with or otherwise.
