Possible £90 winter fuel rebate 2006/7

Some people are on benefits through no fault of their own (disability etc). They only get about £70 per week while if you have a good job you will be earning £200 per week plus. With energy bills costing so much they run into a good proportion of that £70 a week. And also people with disabilities will tend to be at home more using more electric than people at work 9-5. Plus the rebate is only £60. It's not very much to someone on a good job really is it?! That's a nice meal for 2 in a restaurant.James_Bond wrote: »Why should people on benefits pay less for their gas, than the people who have become a success in life?
Remember, chances are that all the "dolers" with fake burberry caps whose favorite words are "init" and other less savoury four letter words, will never know about this rebate. I got my mum to sign up to this rebate because I read about it here, I never heard about it anywhere else. The only bad thing about it all is BG did not actively advertise the rebate.
I understand where you're coming from James Bond, but lets hope you never end up unable to work, getting £70 a week.0
