Many thanks to Dollop for that link too.
Well i'm with the other poster i was told you don't have to keep re-registering they keep your details:)Darren0 -

I agree with pondie - better to register twice than lose out.
People do not necessarily remain on the same benefits year after year, so some previous awards may not be valid by this coming winter. Presumably they must have some link with the DSS to confirm claims.0 -
A Mega thankyou for this, called them this morning and because i got both of the tax credits i can get £90 back this year.Best thread ever:T0

Sounds like you got put through to the wrong person.
Looks like most of us are being successful, and the link posted by Dollop shows that registration has started. Try at a different time of day maybe? Good luck.0 -
Powergen don't do this rebate. I emailed them yesterday and this is the response:
We do not offer winter fuel rebates to customers on benefits, we only offer cold weather payment for customers on Age Concern tariff and over 60 years of age.
Kind regards

Customer Service.

dobbiesloan wrote:Where gid you get the information that you have to reply again? I got this last year and they sent me a letter telling me that I would get it this year. No mention about regestering again.
I also got the same letter, saying i'd be registered for next year as well. So im not sure why they would send a letter out, then need to re-register again, when it says they already have.0
