Any ideas where i can find written info on this. British Gas are being most unhelpful on the matter, to the point of rudeness, stating that it is a telephone offer only. Methinks that's madness - signing people up for something that they can't see the Ts & Cs beforehand!

    Any help appreciated!!!!

As far as I know BG don't advertise this offer - no written info.
I only heard of it here on MSE thanks to OP. When I rang the contact No.
a couple of months ago, asked why details of 'discount' info wasn't included with the rest of the leaflets which came with the bill, girl said it hadn't been widely advertised. (Your'e not kidding!!!)
I got confirmation letter to say £60 off my winter bills later this year.
Apply as soon as possible is my advice - the worst you are going to get is a 'No'.
Thanks again to MSE and OP

I think so. Just make the phone call and you'll get a yes or no.

Good luck, hope your Mum gets it.

I phoned up and as am gas and electric we get the full 90 squid, i'm so chuffed!

I cant find any information about this anywhere, they obviously want to keep this a bit of a secret unless its about to be publicised everywhere.

I dont know how to do this but.....

I VOTE THIS FOR BEING POST OF THE MONTH!!!

If she's not eligible for this, she might be eligible for cold weather payments, not sure how that works but maybe someone on the benefits board could help.

Does anyone know if students qualify that own their own house and are exempt from paying council tax? Would this be classed as council tax benefit?

    Thanks
