I think working at something makes you stronger and brings you closer as a couple and sadly until recently it has been all too easy to not put that effort in.

I agree, some couples sofas seem to last longer than their relationships do.
MM was quite right to take stock. Study after study shows that if there are children they will be poorer, do less well in education and have poorer health than those children living with both their biological parents.

Agree with Franny about the idea of a wedding being a nightmare - we are just having our parents, and that is only because we need witnesses anyway, we obviously need someone there for our DS, and I'd never hear the end of it otherwise. But no one else, not even siblings.

Actually our parents don't even know yet, we are planning for March and the thought of 6/7 months of endless questions about it just fills me with dread. They're getting 8 weeks notice at the max!
