Martin and the team are taking their time over this aren't they?

They have to do their research I guess. I'm still coming into contact with people daily, and I don't exaggerate (well not often :D) that have only just learnt about the Block Exemption and they think it is new! Not about to run out.....

I know I keep bumping this thread up, and if anyone doesn't like it, well I don't really care! It should be a sticky!

I've not looked at MSE news etc of late, they may have something on it. Martin said that they will do something on it and that often the media take something from this site and use it and highlight it. Lets hope that when they do feature it on here, no one important dies/gets married/killed/or whatever!! May get noticed then!

But if no one really worries about the costs of servicing and repairing their cars, then this particular thread is of no importance to them....

He used to love me very much - I feel very neglected. I guess he is jealous of you and all the other Scottish hunks on here..... :o

Crabman needs to believe in himself a bit more, maybe buy himself a kilt and a nice furry sporran. ;)

    Obviously not alot...........

Shall we start a countdown to October 2010 - and then count all the complaints and moans when the Block Exemption isn't renewed?

Martin said he was getting the MSE team to research this and do something on the site about it. I guess we have to be patient and wait.

Meanwhile, I am a dog with a bone on this issue, and still aim to annoy as many people as possible to back the consumer on this issue. I'm not anti dealerships but we should be allowed to have a choice where we go for servicing and repairs.

I am amazed daily (several times) by the people that still do not know about this law - let alone the fact that it is about to run out.........

Hopefully this will come up trumps  guess there's not much he can do other than maybe start up some sort of campaign, or alert people to the issue.

Hopefully there's plenty of time to kick up a fuss anyway as the site says may 2010 is d-day.

I'll bet many dealers have still tried to tell customers servicing elsewhere will void the warranty, despite these laws.

Martin has said that this is not one of his core issues, but the MSE site will look into it and he hoped that the media will pick up on it and bring it to the public's attention.

They are already saying that they will do 'other' things instead if/when BER is not renewed - but neglect to say what. Why don't they just renew it??? I've never known anything to be so 'under advertised'! Wonder why that is and who is lining who's pockets?!!

Maybe we should try contacting some journalists about this?
