  • Hi everybody,

I couldn't find much out there about a good place to find the best value (not always cheap) insurance for our shop in the western highlands of scotland.

We are currently with Allianz Cornhill...

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Stuart Roberts

  • Hi Savvy,

This seems to be a thread about Commercial Motor insurance.....

I'm after Commercial insurance for our shop, so that'd be contents and buildings but for a shop.

Could you please move it somewhere else.....?

    Thanks,

    Stuart

I want to insure a van solely for my employee to use. They already have full no claims discount for their own commercial vehcile - which they will no longer be using. can I use this discount when I insure the van for them?

    thanks

Only way to find out is to ask ... some companies will let you transfer a NCB over, others won't hear of it. And some people find it best to use a broker for commercial van insurance as well, so worth searching this forum for 'van insurance' to see what comes up.

  • you should try https://www.evaninsurance.co.uk, my dad drives a van and his renewal quote was £550, i tried a few web sites and this one came in at £155, so it is worth a try.
  • Does anyone know a good place to get van insurance? the recommended comparison sites dont appear to do this! :(

    Hi - try quotezone
    confused.com under "other products"
    eVaninsurance.
  • I tried quotezone.co.uk - it gave me quotes from a few different van insurance companies - cheapest came from budget - Thanks! id never heard of it before, was handy
  • I am inquiring on behalf of my care assistant who works for a care agency. She travels in her car to various disabled clients throughout the day but is only paid for the time she is working at their home NOT for the time it takes her to travel there. Her agency has just told her she has to have commercial insurance which seems to be a big jump up in price from her third party f&t for her car which is quite frankly an old banger worth very little. Does anybody know if she has to have commercial insurance seeing as she is not being paid for travel to and from clients?
